This was such an easy way to access Erice. The parking lot was right at the bottom of the cable car and was inexpensive. Much easier than driving up the mountain road.

Well - quite a trip. It's a basic cable car except that it's going up Mount Etna. It's well organised and easy to get on and off. It stopped now and then - presumably for helping some people to get on. The views all round are impressive and it takes you way up the mountain where there's a cafe and shop. Well worth a trip.
On the way back down it was quite windy and so we were rocking around quite a bit. I don't know how windy it needs to get before they can't run it but it must have been near to that. Enjoyable though.

I am currently still in the ship, connected to the 300kbps in download wifi I paid about 12 euros. There is not a single positive point with regards to this experience. I am on the Palermo - Salerno ferry that left from Tunisi together with my wife and 11yo daughter. We took the "superior" (maybe because it's placed in the upper floor?!?) external cabin. The keys we were given were not working and we had to get them re-printed 3 times at the reception before we were granted access to our cabin. The reception was on deck 5 and the cabin on deck 6 so we had to go back and forth trying not to step over the tens of people laying on the ground on inflated mattresses, I mean also families, laying on the ground with kids. I feel like we are on a refugee boat, with the exception that I paid 400+ euros for a standard service boat. Once in the cabin it was super dirty, with garbage on the ground (a banana peel, tissues, empty crisps and a lot of dust). We contacted the reception again and they sent someone. It took them 15 minutes in 2 to clean it, they admitted they didn't clean it earlier. We were also told we were not supposed to be in that ship, because being Italians it was not up to our standards, they said it was good only for Tunisian people! As if Tunisian people are meant to travel like animals... Nothing to add... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Nice ferry. Convenient service. But the staff could definitely use a customer service training. Boarding instructions are unclear. Staff obviously assumes everyone is an experienced rider. Very poor with English language. Makes me wonder what would happen if there was an emergency on the ferry.

Used Nino's taxi service for my airport transfer. Prompt, reliable, does not overcharge and a delightful person to share the journey with!

The boat made a good impression. There was a life jacket under each seat and the crew helped with the suitcase when boarding. We felt safe about the trip across the sea. One very big disappointment was that the FFP2 mask requirement was not enforced. Some guests did not wear one or it was hanging under their nose. The crew did not care at all. This was very uncomfortable as you can only sit inside and the journey takes 2 hours. For this reason I would not book the ferry again. Too bad.

We are very glad and sincerely recommend Trapani Tourism Service. The process of ordering is very easy and in various languages. The driver was very helpful and friendly, he was waiting for us at the airport and the travel was in very comfortable car directly to our address. We are satisfied and thank you once again for perfect service!

We tried to get a boat to Vulcano. The boat pulled out of Lipari and then sat in the middle of the harbour for at least 40 minutes in sweltering temperatures. There was no air-con. All the passengers were very fed up. We went back into the port to pick up some more passengers. There was no information. We eventually got to the island (a journey of 10 minutes) at least an hour late. We had bought return tickets but because we were late it gave us no time to see any sights on Vulcano so we missed that ferry back. When we tried to catch a later ferry we were told our tickets were not valid. Had to go to a hotel to find the LIberty Lines desk and explained to them that the earlier boat was late but they would not hear of it and we had to buy new tickets! Be warned you have to travel at the time your ticket says even if it is the company's fault!

We used Trapani Transfer to get a ride from the Trapani port to the Palermo airport . The van was there when we arrived . It was clean and the driver got us to the Palermo airport in plenty of time for our flight. I would definitely use their service again !

I have crossed the Messina from Sicilia side before, this was a reverse from the Calabria side. Bluferries dock further south of port of Messina which is more convenient if you are going to hit Catania or Siracusa.

The process is pretty straight forward, once you reach the ferry dock, they will direct you to line up your vehicle. You then proceed to purchase the ticket at the office. I think you can buy the ticket online but better having good Italian reading skill.

There is not much to say about these ferries other than they are on time, efficient and provide a useful service between Trapani and the Islands.

I had booked this ferry journey online some time ago. We parked our car at Molo Santa Lucia so we were close for departure. When we arrived in Palermo we took the printed voucher to the Tirrenia office which faces the other main car park at the entrance to the dock. Easy process. Took down the car reg no. and gave us the ticket. On the day of departure it was an easy drive about 300m to the ferry. There is someone there to check your ticket, then you proceed to the security check where you need to show identification and they check for stowaways. You then are given a ticket, one part gets stuck to the side mirror and you keep the other. It has your cabin number on it and you need to take this to reception once you are on board.
We arrived at the dock 2.5 hours before departure which meant we were some of the first on and could check in and explore the ferry before departure. We travelled on the Ariadne, a Greek registered ferry. It was very comfortable.
