Make sure you go to the car park at the far end, it makes more sense with more stalls there. It's a fantastic site with a low cost. The most complete Greek temple is really good. However all the Temples are very good. Decent Cafes on the route too.

Make sure you visit at sunset, it makes it look golden. They had a recent fire in the area, so the surroundings are not pleasant. If you don’t know your history and archeology, hire a guide to tell you all about it, but be careful: a lot of them speak very poor English. Time for the visit of the temple itself: half an hour, but transportation to there is another story.

Impresive cathedral on the main sqaure is the landmark of the city. The cathedral has been destroyed and rebuilt several times because of earthquakes and eruptions of the close by Etna. Nice interie. Free entrance, openings 8.00-12:00 and 16:00-19:00. Justt next to the entrance to the cathedral on the right side, underneath of the floor yo can find Terme Achilliane (bath) signafitian buildingof the Roman Imperial period.

Built in the 1700's, the Cathedral of st. Nicholas is an excellent example of Noto's baroque buildings. The facade is a gorgeous limestone that is seen throughout the area and mainland Italy. Several artists, including Bruno d’Arcevia, were commissioned for several artworks including sculptures and frescoes on the Dome. The Dome itself is neoclassical due to reconstruction after a collapse. The exterior is certainly the standout, but it's worth a look inside.

Beautiful church and really interesting to see the monastery and how the nuns lived up until 2014
The cost of entry is a little steep compared to others in the city, but we went to many churches and this was our favourite and worth the visit.. To top it off you get fantastic view from the roof top of the whole city a chance to relax in the courtyard and buy the most delicious cannoli ever

We were on a guided tour in Ragusa and visited this beautiful baroque church. The cathedral appears in the opening credits of the Italian TV series Inspector Montalbano, and it also features in some episodes, as does the similarly named cathedral of Modica. I am a fan of Inspector Montalbano, so it was nice to visit his ”church”. Before the earthquake of 1693, the Church of San Giorgio stood in the eastern part of Ragusa Ibla, near the Hyblean Garden. Today, the only thing left from the ancient church, demolished in 1718, is the Portal of San Giorgio. After the earthquake of 1693, which destroyed almost entirely the historical center of the town, it was decided to built a new church dedicated to Saint George on the place of the ancient Church of San Nicola. However, the building of Ragusa Superiore – the modern part of the city, developed faster, and the Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista, erected in 1694, became the main Catholic church of Ragusa, to the discontent of the inhabitants of Ragusa Ibla.

Incredible ride up Mount Pelligrino on the 812 bus next to the Politeama Theatre. Be careful on the way back; they take a different route. Go to the shrine in the late afternoon. There is no one there.

Went into the church, it looked beautiful from the inside and we also went to the top.
The view was stunning and definitely worth it. It cost 10€ to see everything

Beautiful chapel of sorts, very elaborate plaster figures surrounding the chapel, worth a visit. Apparently this chapel was not used to serve mass, but as a place for discussion and speeches.

Worth seeing to wonder at the money this must have cost at the time. And the puzzle of what they do with the income from the entrance fees because it doesn’t go to upkeep.

This is a huge church which I found more interesting to visit than the Palermo Cathedral. It is beautiful inside and contains the burial site of Giovanni Falcone, the Italian judge assassinated by the mafia.

This temple is only partially surviving but this does not detract from its present. It can be enjoyed from multiple angles and photo opportunities. The most interesting aspect for me was in its restoration and the story around one mans dedication to that end.

A pretty little church up loads to steps, but so worth the view. You can’t go all the way up to the castle but the view from the little church is amazing

I really loved the worn look of Chiesa di San Nicolo All'Arena and it's doubtful the facade will ever be completed. It was built in the late 1600's and, as with many buildings in Sicily, took a hit from an earthquake. It was reconstructed in 1735. There is an adjoining Benedictine Monastery (Monastery di San Nicolò l'Arena) that holds the title of the second largest monastery in Europe. The interior includes a sundial and organ. I especially enjoyed the wide columns. And climb to the top so you have a panoramic view.

This is a must. It is not everyday you get to see such a bizarre architecture. Impossible to miss! Also, not to miss the inside.
