Simply a wonderful experience and memory.
Anna Lisa was our tour guide for our family. It was so nice to just have our family share the evening with Anna Lisa. Anna Lisa was so attentive, informative, knowledgeable and personable. We ate sooooo much of the "local" food at each stop, which truly provided us great insight into how the locals do eat in Palermo. Every stop had lots of other guests, so you knew each stop is a favorite of the local people of Palermo. Anna Lisa also knew the people of each restaurant which also added to fun of our evening, as a couple of the restaurant owners took time to visit with us.
What was also special was during our walking time from restaurant to restaurant, Anna Lisa told us the history of Palermo, and insured we walked by or through many areas of local interest. Anna Lisa always took time to take pictures with us, as we had such a memorable evening. Anna Lisa also shared suggestions on things to do and visit during our time in Italy, which was helpful.
Great tour, great food, great host = memorable evening! One of our highlights during our two weeks in Italy. Definitely would do again, as would insure we request Anna Lisa as a tour guide, if we return to the area.

The traditional Sicilian food tour through the historic markets of Palermo was amazing, very well organised from the beginning to the end. Our guide Angelo was so passionate and gave us so many informations about every single food and wine we tasted! Everything was perfect: good locations, nice people, local experience, excellent guide, tasty food and sicilian wine! If you’ll visit Palermo I suggest to book a food tour with Streaty!

This food tour of Palermo was everything I could have hoped for and more. Maria Luisa was an extraordinary guide, knowledgeable in all facets of Palermo and Sicily. She shared the stories of the foods we sampled, history of the areas and buildings we passed, and was a wonderful companion to share the day with. She made recommendations of places to visit based on the interests I shared and opened the city to me in ways I would have missed but for her. Much thanks!

I will write a detailed review but if you want a shortened version, this was the most amazing evening that Catania has to offer.

The experience is wonderful. We were lucky enough that no other guests had booked so we had a private excursion, however more people would’ve been great! You’re greeted by the amazing Bruno who is so welcoming and hospitable. He shows you around the boat, in the cabin and even gives you a little bedroom area where you can change. There is a toilet aswell which is convenient. You spend around half the trip heading north from Catania taking in amazing views of Etna and the Cyclops Islands. As it was just us two and Bruno, we sat drinking wine and eating cheese, bread and meats, sharing anecdotes and fun stories.

You get a chance to jump into the sea which is great and really refreshing especially in the summer heat. Bruno also has snorkelling equipment if you want to do that.

We were lucky that on the way back Bruno turned off the engines and we just sailed back towards Catania. So peaceful and the sunset is amazing (see the picture).

If you get to do this amazing trip whether you are by yourself or with others talk to Bruno as he absolutely made our experience, and it would not have been the same without him.

    10/10 must do!!

    James and Hannah!!

We spent a great evening of conversation and wine tasting/appetizers with Giorgio. He knows Palermo extremely well and is completely open and honest and willing to talk about any topic.

Chef Paolo first took us to a market to show us all the various vegetables, and to explain how they are used. That was great fun because he is such an interesting and entertaining fellow. We went back to the restaurant and learn to make pasta. Then we learned to make salt baked fish, delicious. When it was done, we learned how to fillet it. Then we learned how to make very delicious eggplant Parmesan. And if that wasn’t enough, we also learned to make excellent breadcrumbs, and to create a sardine and crusted breadcrumbs.
Paolo very amusing with his stories about his grandmother, and how he learned to cook the hard way.
Midway, we had a break for wine and cheese and bread,
When the cooking was done, we all sat down to a very delicious meal that we had made, of course, with the help of a very busy and very friendly kitchen staff. We got aprons to take home, and and Paolo sent us the recipes so that we could continue to cook Sicilian style. It was a great adventure and I highly recommend it as a wonderful way to spend a long morning to afternoon.

We had the most fabulous experience with Letizia! She was so kind and generous! The tour was informative and we ate so many delicious things! Really grateful Letizia accommodated us being vegetarian. Letizia also gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat for the days we were in Sicily. Thanks for an awesome experience! We highly recommend your tour!

This tour was more than food. Annalisa took us around the historic district of Palermo and introduced us to the culture of Sicily. She made us feel so welcomed and loved. She was such a gracious host and we will not be forgetting our experience. The food was incredible. I was very full by the end of it. But who can refuse pistachio gelato on brioche!? We were blown away by the whole thing and it was way more than we expected.

We had such a blast with Roberto on this tour! He was so passionate and knowledgeable about his job around where he lives. The honey, olive oil, and liquor tasting was so fun and delicious! Then we visited the top of Etna where we got to learn about the history. And finished it all of with an amazing lunch and wine tasting with great views and a tour of the historic winery. Highly recommend and wish we could be back there now!

We had the lovely Barbara take us and one other couple on this tour and we had a wonderful time. It was lovely to visit the wineries and try ETNA wine. It was also lovely to meet and chat with a lovely Sicilian with lots of knowledge and entertaining conversation. The stroll through Randazzo was a lovely addition as was the gelato. Thanks Barbara - F and A (Australia)

I want to thank Maurizio for a great tour of three different Etna wineries on our recently completed
Sicily vacation. Maurizio was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and a pleasure to spend the day with together. We shared common interests in wine and food.. The three wineries each had different personalities, one was an organic/ natural winery, and we enjoyed the tastings at each one. The food was tasty and plentiful. In addition you get to spend a day on the beautiful slopes of Etna. This was not our first time in Sicily and wine is a big hobby of mine and I highly recommend this tour.
