We had a great tour with Loredana. She was able to accommodate a tour with us on short notice, when other plans fell through, and was able to customize our tour to the UNESCO locations that we wanted to see. Loredana speaks great English and has a wealth of knowledge about the city. We covered all of the major sights in the historic center plus a few that we had walked past on our own. It was particularly interesting to see the No Mafia memorial and museum and learn a bit of the Sicilian history that you don't see anywhere else. If you have the chance to go to the Santa Caterina Church, Monastery, and Bakery - take it! The cannoli and frutta di martorana are DELICIOUS in a gorgeous setting. Thank you, Loredana, for a wonderful afternoon!

Amazing experience! But this is definitely for people in decent shape, who are not afraid of heights! 5-6 hours of hiking. Had I known how scary some of it was (no ropes, rails- like many mountain hikes) I may not have done it. But again I'm so glad that I did! Poles helped! Our guide was incredible. Extremely knowledgeable and very informative!

Was a fabulous tour - Clara treated us as individuals. We felt she was very much invested in the tour and our questions. Our understanding of Sicilian history has greatly improved thanks to Ciara.

A fabulous way to spend three hours in Palermo learning about history and culture whilst wandering through the streets and seeing the main sights. Our guide Claudio was incredibly informative and educational and it was a pleasure to spend time with him. The tour finished with a freshly made cannoli - delicious. Thanks Claudio and Towns of Italy.

What an amazing experience. Dora is so knowledgeable about Catania and its history. There were so many opportunities to sample delicious food. It was a perfect pace with chances to take photos and ask questions. This is an absolute must for visitors who are interested in food and want to learn about the city

Massimo is an Amazing Chef. I loved everything we made, and he was excellent teacher. He provided really good explanations of the cooking process and provided extra tips. He made learning fun. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to learn to cook Sicilian dishes no matter what level of cook you are Massimo will provide a learning environment that is fun and educational. The best part is the good food at the end. Thank you, Massimo I learned to make true Sicilian food. Mary

Great experience. Our guide, Alfredo, was knowledgeable not just about the wines and local dishes we had but also the history and geology of the island.

    We thoroughly enjoyed-and were
impressed by - Francesco’s excellent thought-provoking tour. He spoke passionately and knowledgeably for nearly 3 hours without notes.

We learnt a lot about the history of the mafia infiltration of Palermo society - and its current incarnation which seems to be more at a political than shopkeeper level.

We learnt of the incredible courage of the judges and others who have opposed the mafia - paying the highest price to do so - and about the brave young people who support small businesses to avoid the mafia protection and extortion tactics.

    A highly recommended tour.

We went on this tour upon our arrival to Catania and had the good fortune of meeting Esther, our guide. Knowledgeable, fun, and full of interesting personal anecdotes that made us feel as if we were on a stroll with a friend. She started in the Duomo, telling us all about St. Agatha and her martyrdom, took us inside the church pointing to all the important aspects of the church and it’s relevance to the city’s inhabitants. Outside she told us about all the buildings around the main piazza before taking us to the market and then over by the monastery, all along intermingling anecdotes, facts of importance, and offerings recommendations for sites, bars, and restaurants to visit. Definitely a positive and certainly recommended!!

The hike was not so hard in terms of physical effort, but at times it was a little scary - the darkness, the irregular terrain, no railings. However, our guide was very careful and nice which made everything a lot easier. And in the end it was totally worth it. The views were spectacular! Not only on top, but all along the way. I'm so happy we did it. Definitely a must if you're visiting the island.
