This is great for couples who love to adventure outdoors and enjoy delicious wine. Alex was enthusiastic and his interest in volcanoes was infectious. He was professional, concerned for our safety and enjoyment, and prepared for the many different types of weather we experienced on Etna (fog, brief rain, cool temps, and sunshine). I appreciated him lending me an extra layer when I was cold. The winery we went to provided a delicious spread that was a lovely reward for our brief hike. Prepare for an almost full-day experience.

What an AMAZING experience with Marco! Our day started selecting food items in the Capo market and we then spent the next few hours cooking and enjoying the company at his home! This class was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Marco is wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious!

We arrived in Messina via cruise ship and we always look to avoid the bus ship excursions to get higher quality experiences. In booking this Castelmola and Taormina tour, we were under the impression we would travel as part of a group in a passenger van. But were were loaded onto a large bus, so that was disappointing. Beyond that, the guides and driver were skilled and nice. The 2 villages were lovely and we would have loved a bit more time at both places.

Chiara is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Taormina and it’s history. She led us on an enjoyable walk through parts of the old town with an emphasis on the Greek/Roman Theater. You can do all this on your own, but Chiara’s passion for the town and its sights adds so much to the experience.

Best part of our Sicilian vacation! Thank you Chef Mimmo for making our experience outstanding!
We met at the arch if you are concerned about finding the location Google map Don Diego gelato it’s right next to the arch.
Chef met my husband and I and took us to the market to buy the freshest of ingredients. The market is through an alley way most people would miss but it was a treat, we felt like locals and learned about the produce specific to Sicily in November.
Then a Mercedes van picked us up and whisked us to Chefs gorgeous restaurant on the water. There we met one other couple and began out cooking experience. Everything was super clean and the staff washed and placed items in dishes so we could prepare everything.
We made pesto pasta with tomatoes and almonds and pasta Norma. Both dishes are specific to Sicily and both were phenomenal. We actually made the pasta from scratch kneading dough while enjoying an amazing seaside view, it was like being in a movie! We learned how to create 7 types of pasta, one was easier than the next and Chef showed us the items needed to prepare this pasta are available on Amazon!
Next, we made swordfish stuffed and rolled on a bed of the freshest tomatoes and a veggie to complement the fish that included tomato sauce, veggies, eggplant raisins and capers. Both were delish!
While waiting for the sauce to cook chef prepared an outstanding charcuterie tray for us with yummy bread and yes lots of white wine! We got to enjoy the other two participants and the amazing seaside view!
This is the best deal on Trip Advisor, don’t hesitate book today! We travel extensively and this was our favorite activity yet! Thank you Chef! Come visit us in Ca we would love to cook for you make sure you come with a sense of humor 😂

It was a good look up close of Mt. Etna. We even got to see it erupt, but luckily it was just smoke and no shooting lava. Also, a lot of noise. If you are going in the winter, it was pretty chilly but bearable, so dress accordingly. Also, the wind was intense at times. Good tour with a great guide.

My family and I had an excellent tour with Carlo. He is very knowledgeable about Palermo food culture and history.

Carlo selected traditional Palermo eateries - institutions that have been in business a long time for us to sample local street cuisine. He explained the different and diverse cultures and ethnicities that influenced Palermo street food and cuisine. I tried spleen tonight (something out of my routinecomfort zone) but it was something my Sicilian grandmother ate; fried fonde (pot scrapings) and miniature pistachio cassata'.

Carlo structured the walking tour to accommodate my father who is having difficulty walking due to a recent sprain. He even ended the tour at our hotel, so we didn't have to search for a taxi.

I highly recommend this tour and Carlo as a guide. We enjoyed our conversation with him- learned so much. We felt like fast friends and I hope to meet him again.

October 29, 2023 tour was so enjoyable. Our local tour guides were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and handled three languages expertly (although perhaps tours should be limited to two languages). Cannot recommend this tour and these guides more highly. Charles
