We came across La Pasticceria Maria Grammatico while wandering the narrow streets of the small city. It's a lovely shop with wonderful pastries. They are super sweet and irresistible, but a little pricey. They do taste delicious and are worth the few euros charge. We were able to have a look in and were very impressed with the workshop and how they make all those cakes. Quite amazing.

This small art shop is hidden in a small town Sciacca. Liborio is so nice and friendly to us. Even though he can’t speak English, he still express enthusiasm about his works and experiences. He made a small rose on the site for us. His works are delicate and romantic. This trip was delightful.

This family run business offers own produce as wine, sweet wine, olive oil and various flavours of honey. You can taste the different products before buying, so a good place to visit to buy and take home some good tastes of Sicily.

We ended up getting most of our souvenirs of our cruise here! So many beautiful things that really spoke of the unique features of Sicilian ceramics and its colorful palette. Cannot wait to give some of what we collected for gifts at Christmas!

I happened upon Domenica’s beautiful store and was amazed by her incredible craftsmanship, so ordered a custom set of cappuccino cups and saucers to be delivered to my home in Sydney, Australia. I couldn’t be happier with the items I commissioned and will be sure to visit Domenica again next time I travel to Siracusa!

Visited twice during our short stay, and this place is fantastic. The sandwiches are great, good value for money, and the staff couldn’t be more welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend visiting at least once (you’ll end up coming back a lot more!)

in this shop the best ceramics of the Sicilian tradition are produced by hand, but also the owner's personal creations. I believe his artistic level is very high and the prices are correct. I periodically go to Acireale, and every time this shop attracts me for its new products. The owner is a kind person and sometimes you can see her while she paints her works.

I bought foodie gifts for myself and for friends. I was overjoyed to find such a delightful array of yummy goodies. I bought more here than anywhere else on my trip. The proprietors were lovely and welcoming and readily provided samples. My Italian was terrible but thankfully they spoke a little English. Now that I am home and have tried some of what I bought, I want to purchase more for myself!!

They give tasting samples too when not too busy. No siestas being taken as they were very much in demand. Loved the original bar. Thought prices were reasonable.

On our recent trip to Sicily we were set on finding a pair of La Testa di Moro (Sicilian head planters). We visited many many shops in Caltagirone and felt that the quality and uniqueness of the pieces at Delfino were far above any of the other shops. We worked with Desiree to make our selection and plan for when they would be shipped to the United States (because we were not heading home for a while). We were 100% satisfied with communication with Desiree via email when we had to change the shipping date. The items arrived as scheduled with no damage. They were wrapped in paper then bubble wrap then double boxed with Styrofoam sheets between the box layers. We decided to keep them indoors and purchased artificial plants for them. I highly recommend Delfino Ceramiche and working with Desiree.

For our traditional end-of-season social outing with the staff of our hotel located in Taormina, we visited Caltagirone and booked a ceramics class by Mr. Salvatore Floridia. It was an interesting, engaging, quality experience, a magical team-building moment for all of us.

After less than 2 weeks we then received the package containing the ca. 50 pieces produced in the 2 hours, undamaged and ... well cooked!

    Informative and reliable. Congratulations!

Don’t miss this awesome art gallery featuring multiple artists! Lulu was a tremendous help as my husband and I found the perfect tiles for our outdoor shower. It was an adventure and experience a wonderful memory. The pizza across the way is delicious, too. Go here and support local artists!

After a visit and a scheduling mis communication we are headed back to Menfi to the Montalbano Organic farm. Arrived there and went to the store. We were buzzed in right away. Virginia was there to greet us and told us that Antonino would be there. He got there and told us that he was moving to the front of the store to pick us up. So we went out front and climbed into Antonino’s car. He said first to the olive trees and then to the grape vines. He talked the whole way. He told us about the farm and about the laboratory where he does analysis and experiments on the grapes to make the best wines and all of the other products they currently make. He also said they will soon have some new products. I asked if he did other things along with the farm? We found out he is a teacher of chemistry, science and math. Got to the olive trees got out and Antonino told us about the trees. How long they can live, how long before a new tree will produce. I told him that I had on my bucket list to pick olives from an olive tree in Italy. He said absolutely so they took pictures of me picking olives from the tree. Very cool. Then we got back in the car and drove to the vineyards. He showed us two different grapes. The first was a new grape. Purple on the outside but the pulp inside was a beautiful red. They tasted so good. Then we saw a shiny green grape. Tasting them, they were such a sweet grape. He told us all about wine production. Then we headed back to the store. When we walked in the table was set with breads covered with the spreads they produce, some cups of 2 other products. The mother Cristina came in and another relative named Rossa Maria was there. They were all so very kind and friendly. A bottle of wine they made was opened. It was very good. I had decided to buy some things and have them shipped. Laura was buying things with the plan of putting them in her checked bag. We were all laughing and the Mother asks do I have Facebook. So we are all pulling up our Facebook accounts and friend requesting each other. It was one of those belly laugh moments. When we had finished our orders we left after much cheek kissing and hugs having made some really nice friends. I will be happy when the Montalbano products can be ordered on line and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my box. In the meantime we can e-mail them and arrange a delivery. I know quite a few of my American family and friends who would love their products. I would highly recommend a visit to the farm and store. It will be a lifelong fond memory for me.
