I highly recommend Elmastansfer. They are the Best Private Transport and Tour in Cagliari!

I booked our pick up and drop off online using their website and then followed up with WhatsApp. Both drivers were punctual and very helpful. Both drivers drove safely and the cars were clean. Since our return plane was an hour late I asked if the driver could give us a short tour of Cagliari if I paid a little extra. That last-minute request turned out to be the best tour of our trip!

Thank you to the entire Elmastansfer for making our time in Cagliari stress-free and magical! We will definitely return and use your service!!! (Five Star rating!!)

We needed a flexible and fast transfer around the area of Porto Cervo.
We were able to travel at all times with a group of 6, being able to have meetings in the car. Great drivers.

We went to Cagliari with the intention to explore, we saw the Simone Accalai by the Bastione San Remy, we talked to him and we were soon seated in the back and heading off to explore the city
It turned out to be the most remarkable adventure, we saw things that we would never of found we travelled along the narrowest of streets and the only regrettable thing was that it had to end.
We thanked him and said we were going to find somewhere to have lunch he was out like a shot, took us to the Antico cafe, introduced us to the waiter who immediately showed us to a table. If you go to Cagliari you have to find him and go on the tour

Okay, get ready to go spherical here, 'cause Alberto will situate you in space and time for each area of Cagliari: from air to earth, Africa to Sassari, Romans to Spaniards, Palace to Cathedral, Marina to Poetto...and, as if that were not already enough, you will also learn why pink flamingos are pink! In this city of many (physical) walls, Alberto will have you seeing doors.
...and he is very good with fluffy, 4-legged tourists as well:)

Alessandro made our trip special. We didn't want to drive but wanted to explore the more remote beaches. Providing us with a parasol and chairs for the day.we had everything we needed He took us to four different beaches , carefully choosing which ones were best for soft sand, quiet, little local bar and beautiful clear turquoise water. Well worth it.

We had an amazing day with Matteo. He is a really good guide and friendly. He told us a little bit about the city history and took us to gorgeous places, always patient caring.
    We had a blast.

Asked him via WhatsApp if he could drive as to Mari Pintau beach and pick up and asked him very friendly and he just wrote: 80€ . Asked him if it’s possible 40€ only one way and he never answered again, so nope - not very nice.

I'm considering visiting Cagliari with a friend for a week in June. We won't be hiring a car but will there be enough in Cagliari and easily accessible via public transport to keep us entertained for 7 days?

Thanks in advance.
Answer: There is plenty to do and see in Cagliari over 7 days.
Sights which are not in the city centre can be reached very easily by public transport
for example the park of Molentargius http://www.cagliariturismo.it/en/places/places-of-nature-318/green-areas-16/park-of-molentargius-139
and the Castle of San Michele http://www.cagliariturismo.it/en/places/places-of-history-316/monuments-80/castle-of-san-michele-76
As day trips you can visit the prehistoric "Nuraghe" di Barumini http://www.fondazionebarumini.it/en/area-archeologica-nuraxi/
the ancient Roman city of Nora https://www.sardegnaturismo.it/en/explore/ancient-city-nora
