Very nice, clean and well kept coastal area. White sand and clear sea which stretches for miles. Also a very good (and flat) jogging and cycling route if you enjoy that. Not that many restaurants for such a large area and the ones I went in struggled with English...but nothing Google Translate couldn't fix.

Quite an impressive monument in Cagliari's old town. Here, if anywhere, marble has been used and the views from this top have been great over the city. Around the monument in the old town there is a lot to see, shops, housing, local life and cafes. The destination should be included in your Cagliari's trip.

This is very much worth a visit. It ranks up there with the markets of Barcelona, Zaragoza and Lisbon. Excellent meat and fruit and vegetable stalls, but the star is on the lower floor, the fish and shellfish stands. Do not miss.

The most beautiful cathedral I have visited in my life. Sardynia with its history, architecture and archeological sites plus cycling across possibility is just mind blowing.

Sardinia has a tremendously rich and loooong history. This museum provided great context and additional detail to all of the sties we had previously visited on our travels (such as Su Nuraxi di Barumini and the Nora Archeological Site). It truly helped us untangle and make sense of the competing timelines. The museum is very well laid out, with loads of interesting pieces, as well as great dual language interpretive panels (IT & EN).

Lovely park, perfect for a sit down and picnic. It has a play area so is good for children too as well as a lot of animals to look at. Furthermore, it is free entry so definitely worth a visit if you want to spend a few hours away from the city.
