We took one of the boat tours from Alghero. It's about an hour ride each way and the tour takes about 45 minutes. The water at the cave is amazingly blue and clear. Once you get in the cave, you purchase a ticket for the cave tour. The cave itself is gorgeous and well worth the time and money.

The only problem with the tour is there are too many people in the group. We were near the back of the line and found it difficult to know what she was talking about. The other problem is people stop to take pictures and that holds up the line as well.

In addition to taking the boat, you can drive if you have a car and use the steps to get to the cave, however there are over 600 steps. Going down the steps will be easy, but climbing back up... not so much.

Worth a day trip out. Inside the caves you’ll see some great stalagmites and stalactites, nice reflections in the pools and a guide who’ll explain how old the caves are, how they were found etc. If you have time there is also the opportunity to walk the 650 steps to the top of the rock formation (obviously you’ll need to walk back down to get your boat back)

Had not planned to visite the caves, as we figured the 640 steps seem a bit much and the boat trip wasn't on our plan. So during one one of our outings, we decided to just head to Cappo Caccia to get the view point. There we found out Cappo is a military zone, and couldn't go any further. So we decided to do the steps and visit the caves. Didn't regret it. Cave are beautiful, the steps are not that tough, you can take your time with breathtaking view points along the way. Glad we did it. Plenty of trails for hiking in the area.

We had a fantastic tour of the cave system with our guide Luca, whose knowledge and enthusiasm for speleology made the visit most interesting. In my opinion, it is a ‘must visit’ attraction in southwest Sardinia. On the plus side, I borrowed a pair of trainers and socks from the reception area as my sandals were not ideal on the damp walkways.

This Grotte was recommended by our hotel; soo glad we made the trip. Fascinating tour & our guide was very knowledgable (& had a great sense of humour too). Great value for for money….& a bonus to have a traditional trattoria to have lunch at after. Delicious food

Finding details about tour times was difficult so we just showed up. It’s really not near a whole lot but gps and road signage got us there. There was only a German and French tour but we were game and it didn’t disappoint. The guide was great and the grottos are beyond cool. There is a lot of walking, many stairs and it is muddy and slippery. Wear shoes with tread and be prepared. The highlight of our Sardinian trip so far.

We were here last August with my family. The walk down and up the steps was quite challenging for me I have to say! The views are incredible, you can literally see the edge of the island. The grotto itself is quite a small inlet, but I'd say it's a quite underrated place. A bit on the expensive side though.

It is an interesting cave because inside it has also sea water and fresh water coming from an underground river, the one how made the cave. The tour takes around one hour and is the best place to cool down a little bit after a hole day spending on the beaches. The access is only from the sea and the price is 10 euro.

The cave is very beautiful, truly unique, and well cared for. I really enjoyed the tour with the train ride inside the mine. Tour guides are kind and knowledgeable, and the visit felt safe and informative

A view to climb for, not easily accessed, craggy, rocky, at times a little scary, but wow what a view and the clearest aqua pool to dive in if you are really good! If not climb in , deep crystal warm water and a site to behold.

It is not too long hike to reach the waterfall from the Janas cave parking, but long enough to avoid any crowd.

We went by boat from Cala Ganone, bought ticket additionally to Bue Marino with English speaking guide. Stalactites and stalagmites were incredible. Bue marino was a place where seals were giving birth to children in the past.We were not allowed to take photos unfortunately.
