Invited to explore the grounds and gardens after and we enjoyed finishing our wines with amazing views. We actually had lunch afterwards in the restaurant which was also delicious. We were treated to a beautiful wine during the class and then as it was my fiancés birthday she was treated to a special glass of wine with her tiramisu! Both tours were excellent, very different, and in all we tasted 11 high quality wines, all accompanied with local cheeses and meats. The short (20 minutes) drive also provides an opportunity to see a little more of the region. history and interesting stories.
Although busy, Sirmione was a pretty tourist location. The minibus and boat ride were well organised and convenient. All in all, a very successful and good value day out. Lovely tasting room with great explanation of the wines with PowerPoint. Tasty wines but felt a bit rushed. We had additional two wines (Merlot 2019&2013) which were delicious but not mentioned until the very end. - Marion H2 contributionsA truly wonderful day in Verona. Picked up at exactly the right time and welcomed by Thomas on to the coach. After a few more pick ups we were on our way to Verona. On the way Thomas gave us all the information for the day and what would be good to visit and times for our walking tour. This was in English and German fluent in both.
We had time to explore on our own and also the walking tour which led us around the town and gave interesting information about the history and took us to Juliet's balcony.
