For art lovers this is a must, the beauty of Venice the backdrop and contemporary art displays everywhere, it is fabulous. The gardens are very pretty and cool, with the wind from the lagoo. When you get tired of walking around, you can have a perfectly decent lunch and a drink looking out to sea. There is so much to see at the Biennale that you really need several days, but if you are not so keen, just pick a few pavilions to enjoy and then look around Venice.

The European Cultural Center hosts a different once-every-two-years contemporary art exhibit and this one will run from April 23 to November 27, 2022. This is the 6th biennial presentation and it is titled: "Personal Structures - Reflections." The artists (of which there were 200 who submitted requests) come from all around the world.

The meaning of "reflection" considers both the image and the thought behind the image; therefore it is both mental and visible. The goal for the artists was two-fold: the art should reflect awareness for what is to come an well as mirror the current environment. This is a pretty vague parameter (IMHO) but then, I am not an artist.

"Contemporary" is the operative word' and these figures really border the abstract. The garden that hosts this exhibit is a delightful place to come and sit on a bench and enjoy the day.

An amazing tour of this palace. The Countess was so warm and friendly. She was very down to earth and a humble lady. I highly recommend this tour.

It is a simple park, but in Venice I really appreciated it as the city is crowded. Here you can sit in silence ( kind of) and without pressure.

The store is quite pretty and full of history specially with the acqua di Melissa and the properties of this product from 1700. They also have other natural based products.

Located adjacent to Campo San Geremia, this large park provides a nice respite from the crowds along the main drag. There are a couple of entrances but once inside, there are benches in which to rest and specific areas for dogs to play and even a large playground for children.

This is a lovely garden to walk through, heading towards the city.
The garden is located next to the central bus station.

Well worth visiting not only for its temporary exhibits ("Panoramic Venice" was very interesting), but also for its architecture and Scarpa's partial renovation: he articulated it around themes linked to the venetian tradition: his bridge is the lightest held in the city; he kept the water entering into the building, the Portego, and the simple and serene garden.

This garden was smaller than I anticipated but given the most limited 'green space' on the island, I guess it has a large appeal.
The building is a Grand Palazzo & was impressive as it fronted the Grand Canal, with a side entrance also off a small canal ... maybe the tradesman's entrance?
In the ground floor foyer is an old Gondola that also had the Funeral Hood which was typical of their original use.

The San Sebastiano gardens are a large green space tastefully organized with vegetation and architectural elements belonging to the former convent.
