    * the most luxury shopping center in Venice, in 4 floor. Expensive prices even in sale.
    * Escalator is available to go up and elevators both to go up and down, there are some spaces and chairs to sit and rest, food and drinks are available in entrance, your internet work well there, you can take your pet in. Not very busy.
    * it’s not only a shopping center but also a beautiful exhibition in such a historical atmosphere.
You can find all famous and known brands there. Woman’s and man’s fashion, jewelry, beauty, watches, gourmet, gifts, … and also event pavilion and terrace.

I like markets. I like the mix of colors, sounds, smells, feelings that I can find in such a place. Wherever I go, if I have time and if it's easy to reach, I pass through the market at least once.
In the daily trips made by vaporetto along the Grand Canal I noticed the market in the area of the Rialto Bridge. On one of the days, arriving earlier in the area, I stopped at the Rialto Bridge, crossed it and headed to the Mercati di Rialto located in the San Polo district.
My expectations were not disappointed: many stalls with fresh products, especially fruits and vegetables, but also spices, pasta, pastries, small cheese shops, or meat dishes. I really liked Pescheria, that is the fish market. It is arranged in a large hall so that the goods are protected from seagulls who are a real nuisance in Venice.
The market has an old history. It is said that from the sixteenth century until now, only the awnings in the market have changed and electronic cash registers have appeared.

Worth a browse if you're in Venice when this antiques market is held. The dealers know their wares, and the market's smaller size means you find yourself taking the time to look through each stall: all the better to unearth that gem!

Murano glass making looks to be a rough job. I commend the men who spend hours a day making this beautiful artwork of glass. I can only imagine the pain and frustration of becoming a master glass maker. The glass work making is a beautiful sight to see in person.

Came to a collatoral Biennale event at the Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti and discovered it had now added a new bar restaurant called Moro. It seemed very smart and attractive with indoor and outdoor tables. The staff could accurately be described as friendly but laid back. I had a coffee and Veneziana cake - which was delicious but a little pricey. My wife ordered a Moro Spritz (€14) which she said was quite the best Spritz she'd ever had in all the years we've been coming to Venice and told the man she'd seen at the bar preparing it that it was . He was pleased. The bill wasn't 'out and out' for such delicious fare- though it took a little time to attract someone and pay. We became nervous we'd be late for a nearby concert we'd booked for that evening. We returned a couple of nights later and I ordered hot chocolate with cream and my wife looking forward to another Moro Spritz. Oh dear! My chocolate was weak, barely luke warm and when I finally managed to get to it through the ridiculously piled up 'cream' which resembled something squirted with abandon out of an aerosol cannister . I left most of it but no one asked why. My wife said that the Moro Spritz on this second occasion bore no resemblance to the delicious drink she'd had on our previous visit. I tried it and she was right, this was quite a different nondescript drink and while not unpleasant would lead to her never ordering it again in this place unless the man we'd seen creating the one the other night was behind the bar. We assumed the woman on duty that evening was resonsible. We paid and left, very disappointed. The newly opened bar restaurant at the Palazzo Franchetti has so much potential and deserves success but needs more than a little 'tweak.

Having enjoyed Jan Morris' book--Ciao Carpaccio, I have become a fan of Vittore Carpaccio. This small collection is only a short 10 minute walk for the Doge's Palace and well worth it. There are two floors, the first of which hosts paintings a Carpaccio fan will be familiar with. It's not the best viewing experience, a dark somewhat crowded room, but it won't matter. Highly recommend.

We visited on a Wet morning in October. The shop was steady when we arrived but not packed, we had a chance to purchase a book on Venice Gondoliers' and have a good look around, good selection of books in many languages. The layout is specials with all the books in easy movable or floating items like boats. Loved the stack of books into a staircase outside, as for some of the comments that it looks tatty. Well it is a stack of old books stored outside in the rain, alongside a canal that floods, go figure? During our visit we even had a bride and groom in for a photo shoot around the shop. Glad we visited and as for the staff and complaints about them, imagine working in a bookshop that is almost swamped by in many causes rude arrogant tourists just in for a look and a photo and causing mayhem also annoying for people want to visit see it and look and buy a book.

Carlo Scarpa… although I saw this exhibition some years back , on St Georgia Island, it remains for me one of the most beautiful and memorable exhibitions I have ever been fortunate enough to view.
The curator was indeed an artist .. such an eye for placement and balance… and the love of Scarpa’s glass obvious … it was nothing short of a gift.

This is a gorgeous little gallery, not far from Santo Stefano square.
You can easily spend an hour in the gallery admiring the quirky exhibits.
