- Discover5414857786511 contributionsA lovely castle with some great history - I think. It’s been laid out as a museum and there are lots of galleries with artefacts and pictures. Unfortunately for the non Italian visitors there is very little information in English. - kleicSan Antonio, TX1,013 contributionsA friend and I stumbled on this place en route to our visit to the Last Supper and I so wish we'd had more time to fully explore it. What an amazing place! Consecrated in the 4th century, the current church goes back 1,000 years; both the interior and the exterior of the church are magnificent. The mosaics are astonishing and worth a trip just themselves. I could do without the entombed skeletons of martyrs visible in the crypt but everything else about this church is a real marvel and there's really good English signage. Surprising to find such a big quiet park so near the centre of a big city. The castle is very impressive too.
