A wonderful walk through a beautiful and uncluttered property beautifully situated lakeside on Lake Como. Perfect for a relaxing picnic. A romantic spot for couples.

We went on the morning tour of the park of the Villa (itself off limits as a retreat for thinkers). The tour is organised from the Tourist Information office and costs 10 euro per head which goes to the municipality for improvements in the ambiance of the town. The guide was Petra - full of information and fluent in at least four languages. The walk through the park takes nearly two hours. It is relatively gentle along a well surfaced path through beautiful woods. The views from a number of levels over all of the branches of the lake are spectacular - especially from the highest point. Not to be missed.

Great find this incredible lunch spot on the far point where the lake parts in two directions. The food was fantastic and the service even better. Our lunch here was one of the highlights of our three week trip as the beauty and peaceful day could not be better.

Excellent tasting. Many wines to choose from. Tastings are priced by the wine. They explained each wine as we tasted it.

Tiny church in the center of Bellagio. The mosaics inside are Romanesque. It is similar to many churches in the area, but worth a stop anyway.

I understand this used to be a fishing village and I am not actually sure if the higher area with a few small hotels and restaurants are considered part of it. We walked from Bellagio on a Saturday morning and found the picturesque view of sailboats. It was a perfect temp and we sat on a bench and watched two swans and a flotilla of ducks go by. It is not far from the main part of Bellagio and the internet will tell you the main way is "mostly flat". This means no stairs but some hills. We are active oldsters and made it just fine. There are several ways to go and one is from the high shopping street and has a lot of cobbled steps. We stayed in Bellagio 3 days/2 nights so this walk easily fit our schedule but would be a lower choice if you have shorter time.

Times are very unreliable. After that it's ok for a quick spin around Bellagio. The commentary is hard to hear .No map either. However it's worth doing.

Along the western side of Bellagio, it is easily accessible right from the port (it is immediately to your right as your exit the boats.). Be sure to walk the length of the walkway, and also be sure to see it at dusk; the streetlights and sunset over the mountains are romantic and delightful. Safe, and free!

This Museum is located a short, lovely walk south of the main part of Bellagio. It's not easy to find but it is very worthwhile and it's open every day from 10:00am to 1;00pm. This museum has an amazing collection of over 600 different navigational instruments, as well as drawings, charts, working models of how the planets rotate around the sun, old sextants and octants, chronometers, astrolabes, cardboard telescopes, old compasses and sundials. We were very fortunate to have Giulia Cittadini as our very knowledgeable guide to help us understand how these instruments functioned. You need to spend about an hour or two to fully appreciate the scope of this collection.

Visit her shop if you’re looking for quality pictures for reasonable price! Her work is beautiful, captures the prettiest bits of Lago di Como so you can bring your favorite memory home :) Highly recommended!

It's a quiet humble place. A reminder of much simpler times. Artwork is poorly preserved but that is part of its charm.

This tiny church on the town square is usually closed. It is overshadowed by the 2 other churches on the square. It has some frescoes that are worth the effort.

Bellagio inspires creativity and we saw it at Fresia. The display was exquisite and the Director welcomed us to view what was on display. We wish we could have carried one home, but for now we are happy to have experienced charming Lake Como and the environs.
