You can visit the Rapallo Castle at one end, and the Christopher Columbus Monument at the other end (as well as the great panoramic views, in-between).
For a nice promenade along the sea, enjoying your mood, nice views, palms, souvenir shop stands, nice to stroll by day and in the evening, when it's so nice illuminated.

The views were stunning all the way and from Santa Margherita to Portofino, you do the Passeggiata dei Baci (Walk of Kisses) which takes you through a little wood but always with a view of the sea to your left.
Portifino is very expensive, so if you don't need to eat there it is probably better to hold off, enjoy a drink instead then catch the ferry back to where you started and enjoy the view looking back from the water...
