- David NBrisbane, Australia2,029 contributionsThis was an unexpected treasure to such a beautiful place before we even ventured further to Porto Venere and Cinque Terre. This place has its own beauty as a gateway to marvellous locationsWritten September 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joan A9 contributionsA super wee museum about la spezia's strategic naval role in italy s explorations and defence but italy's role in ww2 seemed a little underplayed. We loved the dedicated marconi room, fantastic scale models and a whole air conditioned room of artistic original and restored ship figureheads. We went on a Monday and it was free! Well worth a visit if you are based in la spezia and want a day off from the cinque terre. Don't miss the ww2 air raid shelters sound and light show off the main pedestrian street too.Written June 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - M GRancho Palos Verdes, CA8 contributionsThe museum has a lot of nice pieces from the area. Great castle views but it is centuries apart from the museum’s contentsWritten September 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GiorgiaCItaly87 contributionsDo you remeber the wolf in the Disney's movie "The sword in the stone?"
Well, that's was me on my way back to the car. But Monesteroli is really worth it.
The view is stunning and once you reach the end of the stair you can swim in the sea and chill.
I recommend trekking in warm but not hot months; so May,early June, September & October (according to the weather) are perfect.Written January 27, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The atmosphere was amazing although it was in the winter.Written November 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
