Borgo Antico

... was amazed by what greeted us there...a vibrant town full of shops, restaurants, and tourists!!! Nice to see a piazza with a fountain, a municipal building that looked interesting, and another play area for kids.
The narrow old streets are buzzing with nonnas with their grandchildren, men discussing daily life, children playing or hurrying to school, fishermen taking their boats out and so forth.

Spiaggia di Fegina
#7 of 19 things to do in Monterosso al Mare
The beach is extremely safe (and their are lifeguards if needed) and the waves and currents are minimal, so very good for young children.
Watching all the European children running around and playing in the sand reminds me that children are children are children..we are all the same all over the world!

It's a lovely beach under the statue, quieter than the surrounding beaches and clean sand and water that has a good amount of shallow, calmer water for children to play in.

We loved watching children get off the "Scolabus" and play soccer above the town square.
Never tire of walking all through the town, side streets, two churches, and taking in the beauty of the green hills and small family owned vineyards.
