Archiginnasio di Bologna is where you'll find the Anatomical Theatre and the Archiginnasio Municipal Library. It was once the centre of the University of Bologna. It's stairways and corridors are a joy to see and a visit here must be near the top of your 'to do' list in Bologna. Entrance is very cheap. €3 if I remember correctly.

Great library. Very good for small children. The ruins underneath are not super interesting. You can't see much of them through the glass floor. Go down to the basement and you can walk around among the ruins.

The library is divided in 2 parts. The main library with the old books that is now used for seminars and as a museum. The second part where students can study. The place is well maintained and looks very impressive.

Be sure to find the right entrance as google maps shows the wrong location. I do not know the address, but it's next to the square on Via Zamboni where you turn right next to the library building walking from square Maggiore to the Via Zamboni

But the third time I was given incorrect info. I asked about the aerobus and the man told me that I could catch it at the train station. I told him that I wanted to catch it on Mille. First he told me that I couldn't and then that the street was closed. (Some streets like Independencia are closed on the weekend to motorized traffic but Mille remains open to motorized traffic.) I told him that I was leaving on a weekday so all streets should be open. He told me that the train station and Mille weren't that far apart so it didn't matter and I should go to the train station. Afterwards I go to Mille and find the aerobus stop practically across the street from my airbnb. I even waited a few minutes to see the aerobus stop there. So if you want to get to the Bologna airport from Mille you can do so.

This centre was just okay. First, their lunch prices were astronomical for very little options. The place was rather small and there was often not enough seats for everyone at several lectures.

The absolute worst place i have been to. 23 euros just to enter and then they charge 3 euros 2 leave your coat? What's up with that?!?! The place has no decoration, no sitting, nothing. You just pay to be in an empty room. And, people were smoking inside, which is totally not cool.
