Villa d'Este
#1 of 49 things to do in Tivoli
Back in the day (about 500 years ago), a Borgia family member diverted a river to power the fountains at Villa d'Este...a truly amazing feat when you experience these fountains for your self.
Kids loved running in the gardens and play with the water, parents savored a peaceful time.

#1,948 of 1,948 things to do in Rome
In Rome we had two tours in mythology mode cause my kids who are 9 and 13 love Percy Jackson!!! Paola and Francesca were sublime at the Vatican Museums and at the Capitoline Museum.
... Daughter, 6. Francesca was a fantastic guide, extremely knowledgeable (able to answer all my Percy Jackson obsessed son's questions and my own in depth queries) and very sensitive to the needs of our children.

We had the pleasure of having Sabino Pagnano provide custom tours of Rome and the Tivoli Villa d'Esta gardens and fountains over a two day period for our family of four.
Extremely knowledgable, smooth driver, great with kids and I could go on and on.
