There aren't many golf courses near Rome, and not many reviews available on Trip Advisor or elsewhere on the Internet. Olgiata appeared to be our best overall choice though there are pluses and minuses. The course is about a half hour taxi ride from the center of Rome. While the taxi ride came to 37 euros on the way there, we were charged 80 euros for the trip back. I took the driver at her word that there was a surcharge for the trip from the outskirts to the city, but you should factor these travel costs into your equation when determining whether it's worth it. Olgiata is a private club within a gated community. They didn't seem to get many outside visitors, but were accepting of us nonetheless. Our hotel concierge advised that advance tee times weren't taken and that we should just go whenever we wanted to. Not a bad idea to check ahead, though. We rented clubs, which weren't great. (I don't recall the exact cost, but it seemed to be about what I was expecting. And I did get to blame the clubs for my poor round.). The course itself was in reasonably good condition and the cost was 100 euros per person for the greens fee. Electric riding carts were extra. It was a fairly difficult layout with a lot of sand and water, and fast greens. Sprinklers did not have yardage markings but there were 100 and 150 markers (meters, not yards). All in all, I was pleased with the overall experience. After all, I was able to play golf in Italy!

Very lovely family-run pitch and putt. The people are very friendly and the course and food is great!

Went for a round of 9 holes yesterday again, this is our default go to course after work, and once again the field was very good.

However I have to give a small note on the service, which took 20 minutes to sign us in as he took everyone else past us when they came to the desk and talked Italian to the man. I guess the downside of having limited Italian.

Past times service has been excellent and fast though, so maybe its highly dependent on the person behind the counter?

Another small issue are the greens. Alot of landing marks and overall quite poor state. However for 35e during Covid times it is very reasonably priced for a quick game after work!

The golf course is quite challenging. It is not too long, par 70, but intriguing! Narrow fairways and small greens and some great doglegs! Very attractive is the view of the remains of a roman acquaduct running along hole # 10. Few greens showed bare spots, but it did not detract from true ball rolling. The club house is very cosy and the restaurant was quite good. The view of the roman hills from some of the holes and from the club house is awesome! Price/quality ratio is excellent. Very close to Ciampino airport, if you are visiting Rome and are a golfer, this is a place not to miss!

We had booked a cooking class in Italy. On the morning of the class at 10:34 am it was cancelled. No reason was given and we were very disappointed & angry. We had booked this class in March.
I will never book any excursion with you again.
We were told we had to give 48 hours notice to cancel but you cancel on the morning of the class. It was too late for us to book another cooking class.
