Ahmed was a fantastic guide. You could just feel his passion for Rome in how enthusiastically he shared information on each of the stops on the Roman Holiday tour. We went on a three-hour evening tour on our first evening in Rome. We learned so much, and seeing all the major sites at once helped orient us for the rest of our time in Rome. We saw Ahmed almost daily as we toured the city in more depth and he always greeted us joyfully - it was like we had a friend in the city.
This was our second Eurpoean segway tour. It is faster than walking or running, but if you've haven't ridden one before it is still a workout, and even though I run five days a week, I still had "segway legs" when we finished the tour.
It was hot in July, and we didn't bring water bottles. Ahmed stopped at many of the public fountains so we weren't thirsty, but I wish we had brought bottles to refill.
Ahmed also introduced our teens to their favorite gelato shop - they returned every night of our six days in Rome.
