This was a good, comfortable, well organized and well led bus tour from Rome to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. This tour delivered what it promised to do and was a good introduction to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius National Park. To understand this tour, you have to understand the limitations of a day tour by bus. You will be traveling with a large amount of people and you will be herded from place to place. You will not get to choose what you want to do, or how long to do it. You will not get to explore Pompeii at a leisurely pace, or even have time to explore the whole town. We had less than 2 hours at Pompeii. You will end up stopping in tourist traps along the highway because they are the only bathroom facilities large enough to host tour buses. That being said, this was a very nice tour. Bus was comfortable, my the tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable and we got to experience two bucket list destinations in one day. On the downside, Pompeii was extremely crowded, we saw relatively little of it, the lunch place was mediocre at best and the rest stops were at this awful tacky restaurant/ gift shop that had bad food and sold liquors in pornographic bottles.
