Beautiful church / museum with some fascinating objects but the real glory of this place is the second church accessed through the main church with the most stunning frescoes.
Very near the Duomo if you're in that area.

This is such an amazing place and definitely worth a visit.Once you get off at the metro follow the signs and prepare to be amazed!
It was a 20-minute walk, leading through some of the interesting, older neighborhoods of Naples (seriously, there are auto shops inside of deep tunnels that look like they are hundreds of years old).

The church is quite lavish but it was the courtyard which impressed me most .It is a working religious community, the nuns were so sweet and welcoming.
In the early 13th cebtury, it became a church with a monastery.

Beautiful interior decorations, paintings and statues of this 14th century basilica, founded by the friars of the Dominican Order.
it is also part of a complex that includes a monastery, the original seat of the University of Naples, where Saint Thomas Aquinas studied and eventually returned to teach theology.

The Church of Santa Chiara is well worth seeing but the cloister, with its magnificent majolica tiles is perhaps the most gorgeous cloister any of us had ever seen, and we have seen many, many cloisters all over E...
The church of Santa Chiara was bombed by the Allies in 1943, destroying the roof and burning so hot that some of the marble was charred.

The church is rich in symbolism, in marble, in beauty, has the tallest bell tower in Naples.

This 17th century church is situated on via Toledo between Piazza Dante and Piazza Carita.
Just walking down Toledo & popped into this one; being renovated at the moment but still amazing.
