- Jason B3 contributionsThis tour was the best part of our trip to Sorrento. You have to go. The farm has gorgeous views, and the tour was super interesting (grapes, lemon/orange grove, cheese making). Our favorite experience was making pizza from scratch -- very fun and very tasty (the best pizza we had in Italy). The best part was the family itself. The whole family is involved, including husband/wife and two teenage daughters. They are funny, entertaining, knowledgeable and generous (lots of pours of wine, limoncello and meloncello). - LisaLumberton, NC18 contributionsMichele was an amazing tour guide - we met at the dock (with Luigi) from sorrento and hooked up with Michele once we got to Capri. We walked the popular streets of Capri - tourist type of shopping. Because it was November and less people, we were able to see Augusto Cesar Gardens - absolute must see! Georgous!💙
Next was Anacapri, local shops and the Mount Solaro Chairlift - worth it!!!!! $14 euro each BUT AMAZING - you beed a clear day to enjoy the 365 view! If you have a thing with heights - its not bad.
Lastly, the Blue Grotto is hit or miss. HOWEVER, we opted for the full boat tour! OMG!!! we saw the emerald/green grotto and blue grotto, famous houses etc.

LuLu did a great job coordinating our trip from Sorrento and Margaretta did a fabulous job teaching us about Pompeii and taking us to the most interesting sites! She was extremely knowledgable! We also appreciated arriving at Pompeii before it opened and having time to get coffee, tea and water before the tour started. - Kyara2 contributionsMe and my mom went to the Jetwin Blue hotel on October. And we stayed about three weeks there. The view, food and work staff: they all were excellent. And the cafe out there, near Jetwin blue/ blue breeze: the food and drinks everything were just perfect. There were two working boys there: BEIOU and RIKSHAN they were such helpful and pleasant boys. Eugenio was a fabulous tour guide telling us how the farm works, how lemons are grown, and all about olives. Then we had the most delicious meal. I have a dairy allergy and they were more than accommodating to keep cheese off of my meal, and to notify me which items couldn’t be made without dairy (with apologies). The highlight was giving us the recipe for making homemade limoncello. One of the most memorable moments of our trip! - Mel S16 contributionsFrom the moment we were picked up and whisked up to their home, we were entertained with traditional Italian cooking!
Cristiano showed us how to prepared and make eggplant parmigiana and gnocchi with a fresh tomato sauce. We also threw together a tiramisu for dessert.
The simple ingredients turned out sensational and we all came home with satisfied bellies!
We enjoyed the evening with a lovely big family from California.
The local wine was beautiful and we finished off with their homemade Lemoncello!
Looking forward to seeing if we can replicate when we get home.

He gave us information about everything we would be doing, about the island and it’s history and tips on what to expect at each point of interest and what the local etiquette was re ‘thank yous’ for good service. Thanks to his knowledge of where to go first we avoided queues and so had time for an extra boat trip around the the coast of the island. He organised this using his local contacts and the driver, Maxio took the boat really close to all the sights along the coast line and even into tiny little grottos where we had our own private coloured water experiences. He gave us a sound track (strategically placed music) to the experience and this, his superb driving skills and Luigi’s continuing and entertaining tour guide commentary made the boat ride the highlight of my trip to this beautiful island.

Great communications as they cancelled our original tour date and rescheduled for 2 days later, which actually worked out perfect.
We had full van with @ 15 people total. Shuttle Van was very comfortable and our guide MiMi was wonderful and very entertaining - sharing much history and local insights with the group on the hour ride to Pompeii.
Mimi introduced us to Vincent, our licensed Pompeii guide when we arrived. Vincent was wonderful and took us to all the main sites. Pompeii is huge - wish we could have stayed all day but the few hours we were there we did see a lot! I would now be comfortable to go back on my own but this was a great quick intro to visit this amazing site.
There are restrooms and a coffee shop open (in November) at the entrance to the site where you a grab some coffee or a snack.
Next, we all loaded back up in the van and headed up Mt V. We stopped for lunch ($20 EU ea) and it was wonderful - 3 course with wine and optional limoncello ($3EU) afterwards. They should really mention this available lunch option in the advertisement as it would be quite a long day w/o any stop for food.
The climb up Mt V is not for the weak. I’m 57 and not in best shape. it took everything I had to make the climb. Mimi said we had 1 hr and 1/2 to go up and back down. I noticed most people had no issue in competing within this time but it was difficult for me- however- I managed to pull it off, barely.
There are 2 souvenir stands up the hill but no open restrooms (in November). There is a restroom at the entrance but you must purchase something at the store to use the restroom.
I am glad I climbed Mt V so I can say I did it but I could have just stayed at Pompeii all day as it was the highlight for me personally.
We arrived back in Sorrento about 5pm so it was a total of @ 9 hrs start to finish.

This was the best private boat tour we had and i would recommend to all my friends and family. The tour starts with a visit to an amazing 16th century church then on to a walk through the Lemon grove. Then a ride in a tuk tuk through very narrow winding lanes which takes you the Demonstration area where you see how different cheeses are made which is amazing. Then the best bit is you get to taste the various cheeses, different flavoured olive oils and wonderful Lemonchello all of which you can purchase if you wish.
Then another tuk tuk ride back to the village where you get to make and eat your own pizzas washed down with wine and water.
All of this tour is run by various generations of the same family whose passion shines throughout.
Definitely one not to miss and excellent calue for money.
