What travelers are saying
- chiclidPerth, UK125 contributionsExcellent museum giving a real insight in to history and life in Abruzzo.
Entrance fee was 5e for senior citizens with a very good free audio in English using your own phone. Very worthwhileWritten October 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He wrote about it in one of his poems, describing the rooms and his feelings and the citations (Italian only!) are printed and placed in the rooms. What makes it's worth a visit is a very moderate price and a possibility to see what a noble's house of the end of the 19th century looked like: with all original furniture.Written June 2, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nikki MFairfield, Connecticut, United States17 contributionsThis museum is absolutely beautiful. My fiance and I were lucky enough to be able to get a few of our engagement photos done inside!Written May 30, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I knew nothing of Scandavian Artists but they had a magnificent collection and I was so impressed with their lighting.
Obviously they understood the beauty of the Italian countryside and captured it perfectlyWritten January 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The city was the homeplace of some of the most brilliant and talented Italian painters from the XIX century. The museum offers a fascinating journey into the life and production of the Cascella family.Written February 13, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Corinna4960 contributionsVery small museum, with an upper floor that is almost empty. On the ground level there are some works by famous artists, Guttuso, Mirò and even a Picasso. They are, however, minor works. Since the museum is free, I'd say it's worth walking in. If you are in Pescara and want to see some local works of art, paintings and ceramics, try the Paparella museum, not far from the Museum of Modern Art.Written October 4, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ColleenCoPescara, Italy1,022 contributionsEven on a rainy day when there is nothing else to do, I would not recommend this place. Although there are some (but very few) interesting shells to see, it is in bad shape and rally left in disrepair.Written May 12, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
