- VAlettahWangen im Allgäu, Germany180 contributionsAmazing remote beach in the Calblanque reservation. The sand is soft and golden and the sea is crystal clear. We went in August (sooo hot, bring lots of sunscreen, water and shade!!) And it did not feel busy at all.

- Jon HDevon, UK17 contributionsIt does stink and it lasts but it is a great way to spice up a day at the beach. All in all takes about an hour and it’s an hour of laughter.Written October 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adrian BCheshire, UK93 contributionsMy wife and I have walked along Playa de Bahia on many occasions during the past year, en route from Puerto de Mazarron to Bolnuevo. On this occasion, however, we also took the wooden stairway which leads up from the beach towards the top of a large outcrop of rocks that juts out into the sea. The walkway has seen better days - at the top were four benches which had graffiti on them, and the area around the benches was in need of some tidying up. Nevertheless, the view from this promontory at the top of the rocks was lovely, showing Bahia and the Playa Hermita (to the left) and Bolnuevo (to the right) to their very best advantage. Playa de Bahia is far more open - less enclosed - than the Puerto de Mazarron beaches, and there is far more to see. It's a better location for surfing, and the flat beaches and golden sands just seem to stretch on forever towards the Bolnuevo horizon (and beyond)!Written June 28, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maria S2 contributionsIt is a beautiful bay in midst of pine trees, small but very nice with a small beach bar and close by restaurant. All in ”Mar menor”, the inner sea which means temperature is warmer than normal sea. Very beautiful sunsets.
Only shame is that people throw sooo much garbage on the beach and municipality or beach bar does not seem to clean much. With all the plastic in the sea these days I am surprised that people do not think more….Written August 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - StarviageraFlorida2,082 contributionsThere are 2 sides that do not meet in this beach. The naturist is a pay beach. The normal beach is a nice cove with lovely views. There is sand in one side sort of, but it is a pebbled sand.Written June 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Normarose Wagner109 contributionsThis location is an obvious hot spot if you’re in the area. Many locals flocked as we approached from our coastal drive in the late morning. I recommend coming here early as it gets very busy. Two restaurants are right next to the beach and offer toilets, but you must ask for a key. Location is great for children. Calm and shallow waters where you can look for fish and crabs. Many people snorkelling and paddle boarding. The beach does offer the plastic, paper and regular trash cans….but for such a historical and busy location, it would be great if the community took trash more seriously. So many cigarette butts and micro plastics in the sand and parking lots. FYI: No showers to wash off sand after your visit.Written August 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NigelnTraceyMaidenhead, UK300 contributionsA lovely clean beach, popular but not overcrowded. The water is calm and gently shelving. Plenty of places close by for lunch.Written May 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Neil J34 contributionsBeen coming to this beach for over 20 years. It still our go too beach in the area. We still visit other beaches in the area but we go here most.
The positives:
Its a secluded beach off the beaten track. It’s generally much quieter than the beaches in Puerto Mazarron and Boluenuevo.
You can park your car close to the beach so a short walk with your bags, cooler box and umbrellas!
Good for families. Usually plenty of space so you can pitch up ur camp close to the shore and keep a close eye on any little ones.
There’s a life guard hut so you can feel safe knowing your not going completely in the wild.
The negatives,
As of the time of writing this review their are no longer toilets provided. They were never very clean but this is very disappointing considering they have now been charging for parking the last couple of years. I certainly don’t mind paying more for parking if the service is provided.
Sometimes the beach is not that clean, although I will say since charging for parking this appears to be better.
There is no longer a cafe on the beach. I rarely used this myself but some like to enjoy it. So you need to take all refreshments and food with you. Please ensure you use the bins provided, or if they are full (they generally are) take ur rubbish back with you.
Hopefully this gives you a picture of what you can expect.Written August 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Fiona KLondon, UK2,920 contributionsIt is always a pleasure to walk off lunch in the port or one of the restaurants on the Paseo by walking along the Paseo that runs along Playa del Rihuete. The views are lovely and it is a walk that always leaves me feeling nice and relaxed. You can sit a while and watch the fishing boats come into the port with the gulls following the boats, sit on the beach and read a book or just watch the world go by.Written October 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
