What travelers are saying
- Claire MSouthampton, UK1 contributionHired a carbon fibre road bike for the day. Was very well looked after, everything worked perfectly. My trip took longer than expected and I returned back late. They stayed late for me and wouldn't accept any extra payment. Would 100% recommend.Written February 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GjmghMelbourne, Australia49 contributionsWe arrived in Madrid that morning and had booked to do a 3 hour bike tour in the afternoon, always the best way to explore! we were lucky to have Fran as our guide! He kept us captivated from the start with his knowledge of history, the many scandals throughout time , his enthusiasm (oh.. & his photography skills!) of this beautiful city ! The bikes were very easy to ride and the tour is mostly flat . Highly recommend!Written October 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dr.Robert18 contributionsI have no words to describe the amazing riding experience in my Barcelona to Malaga tour with IMTBike. The welcoming of the team Sergi, Ali, Frederic, Paolo and others made me feel welcomed and at ease immediately, from meeting the fellow riders and explaining the tour and the bikes. The hotels and food experiences were as they rate them, 4-5 stars accommodations. The route and roads have the most impressive views and asphalt. The team was always making sure we had everything we needed and constantly asking to make our experience unique and a happy one. I was very surprised to hear that their customers are 60-70% repeats. I can now understand why, l will be one of those stats soon again. You can tell the team members enjoy their “job”, although for them it is a passion of riding, enjoying showing the country and making new friends/family. Their contagious energy was present every morning at breakfast and as we reviewed the day planned ahead. At the risk of sounding corny, but truth must be told, this is an experience in a lifetime that every rider must do, period.
BIG thanks to IMTBike and team for an unforgettable trip.Written November 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I mean they say NYC never sleeps, this is quite akin to that except at night a much younger generation emerges to drink and party. Wednesday? No problem! It does not have to be the "weekend" to party. With its narrow streets and Sol as the centre it gets pretty crowded during the day. Wear a good flat or sneaker because the streets are typical European cobbled stoned an un-even.
The architecture is what took my breath away. Such a beautiful city if you love the Spanish tiles and old school feel. Madrid is not what one would consider "cosmopolitan" the airport only offers free wi-if for 15 minutes provided you are beyond all security points and at your gate. Vending machines also rule. Cakes, soda, treats are all available by vending. I digress. If you are headed to Madrid and it's your first time....no worries, the Metro is color and number coded and very easy to navigate. The airport terminal is a little old and there are some lifts and escalators but be prepared to WALK and climb steps!! Steps all over from the airport to Sol--just steps galore! :-) I mean 5-7 mins between Terminals to access the Metro. From airport to city centre (Sol) is 5 Euro's and for English translation on the ticket machine select the Brit flag.
Overall, good food....great museums and historical sites (e.g. The Temple of Debod, The Royal Palace, Reina Sofia which houses the artwork of Salvador Dali and Picasso; free during certain hours). The people are a little "stand-offish" to outsiders (xenophobic) but if you speak some Spanish or have a map--they are a little helpful and I reiterate "a little"...Great cappuccino and wine and you can find cheap food in Sol. Go, SEE....fall in love with Madrid!Written April 13, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Just in front of "El Retiro" they have different types of bikes to choose: from a mountain bike to a lovely cruiser and furthermore bikes for children or bikes with a children seat . Rates are completely affordable and it is a great way to enjoy a lovely park. Staff is really kind too and can provide you a park map if needed.Written September 13, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Curtis B2 contributionsKader was the best guide! First and foremost, he was focused on safety of my family of four which included kids aged 9 and 11. Second, he was fun, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable... We saw many of the sights of the Madrid Rio and learnt a lot about Madrid and its people. Kader was full of tips and information about the city. He was also extremely helpful and patient with us as we were inexperienced Segway riders. I would highly recommend Kader and this tour.Written February 27, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- The suitcase scaleTel Aviv, Israel71 contributionsSurprisingly, renting a car for your stay in Lima is not at all a bad idea. Driving is really easy , there is lots of parking and with Applications like WASE there is no trouble getting to places.
So where is the problem ? In the renting.
Although Lima seems like a modern city
When it comes to going through the process of the actual renting, it feels like eating gravel. Stay away from internet companies like Rentalcars who will brush you off in third world countries even when you booked through them. Go directly to the local companies and make sure everything is ok and closed before you leave the country.Written October 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JUAN N1 contributionI rented an 1200 GS which was in great condition from BEEBIKERS and everything was great. Javi took enough time to give us all the details about the bike and provided us very good tips. I fully recommend them for any motorcycle trip.Written October 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
