We only ended up here because we happened to be staying nearby. If you are in the neighbourhood and are looking for a place to chill for a while, this is pretty cool. There is a restaurant inside and they host shows/ music at night. There’s an open courtyard with some interesting architecture to explore and places to sit and relax away from the busy streets.

Backstage Pass to the Royal Theatre/opera house is a nice excursion. The theatre has a box office but you want the ticket area to the right of the box office. The front desk guy initially told me I had to come back a day later to catch a tour but it would be Spanish speaking. Then when I arrived again a day later he didn’t add me to the personal tour but instead I scanned a QR code for an audio guide on my phone. This was sufficient. The reception rooms, Royal box and main stage are all impressive. While it may not be in the top 3 things to do in Madrid, it offers a glimpse of the backstage glamour.

It was my first time seeing a show there and I've done loads of research beforehand, to make sure I got a good seat. Eventually I decided on row 19, seats 13/11 and was not disappointed. Great view and acoustics! Having been there now, I think almost every seat could be a good choice though as the theatre is quite small and intimate. The seats are very narrow and close to the next person so there's not a lot of space (especially leg space), they're also not the most comfortable (but good for the length of the show).
The theatre itself is very beautiful, well preserved and the staff was also very friendly. I'd definitely come back again for a good show!

As for the Lion King: I absolutely loved it! The actors, their voices and especially the costumes were amazing. Absolutely worth seeing!

This is an amazing show. The singer was magnificent. The dancers were vibrant and passionate. The guitarist was superb. The staff at the venue were friendly, one even managed a stage cameo. A fantastic experience and great value.

This is a beautiful theatre. We had box seats with a great view. The opera was excellent, with wonderful singing, modern choreography , colorfully modern set design, and superior acting. Overhead subtitles in English were greatly appreciated along with the English synopsis in the advanced program for purchase - a nice souvenir. The location also has a couple of great restaurants on the same street. This is a must do culture event on any tour of Spain, even if an opera is not something you would typically attend. The pace is excellent. It was one of the best cultural experiences we have ever had anywhere in the world.

Teatro Lara is a beautiful old theatre with loads of charm. It is quite small and people are seated very close to one another, but as the play we went to wasn´t too long, it didn´t bother. We had a good time (Locuras cotidianas is a surreal play at times) in the theatre. The only detail I found quite a nuisance : the play is supposed to start at 10pm, but at that time, the street is still packed with people wanting to go to the main hall and to the off one (plays in both places start at the same time?), and so, one stands waiting quite a while outside (fortunately, it wasn´t raining), arrives worrying - one can hear the ringing indicating the play will start any time soon - and the play starts and ends later than intended, of course. For people not living in the city centre, this is a real pain.

One of the most beautiful theatre buildings in Madrid is Teatro Espanol.
On Plaza De Santa Ana there's been a theatre of one kind or the other since 1565 but the theatre we see today dates from the 1800's being constructed between 1887-1895 ,built from designs from architect Roman Guerrero ,it's a great example of Neo Classical style architecture ,it's been beautifully restored in the last couple of years and looks amazing ,it's most definitely a theatre building to view if you're in the area and easy to locate along Calle Principe on Plaza De Santa Ana.

Simple and good. The entrance to the theater was quick. The seats were too close one to another. The actors and actresses were very good. The genius of the lamp is the best of the best. The actor is the epicenter of everything. Good vibe and great energy.

The park is good, although structurally a bit tired. We were there on a wednesday, mid-august, and there were not many people. It opens at noon, but you will do yourself a favor if you have lunch first and go a bit later, avoiding peak heat.
If you want to eat inside, you can take food and drinks, there is a picnic area with lots of shade. You can also have lunch at the restaurant, mainly fast food.
Top tip: if you like Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, etc., buy the freestyle cup with your lunch, it will be cheaper that way. You can refill the cup (0,5l) once every 60 minutes. It's really worth it if you're planning on staying until closing time (22:00).
Another tip: during summer, dress lightly and get ready to be soaking wet in some of the rides. The Rapidos is great fun!
If you have kids, Nickelodeon Land will keep them entertained for hours. Adults have rollercoasters, spinning chairs, high rise and fall... for those with guts.
Finally: if you are not from Madrid and rely on a GPS app to get around, take the subway, even if you have a car! It gets you right to the gate of the park. We had to drive through a very long tunnel, GPS signal was lost most of the time and messed with our minds the rest of it because Google Maps couldn't tell we were on a tunnel and kept directing us according to the roads above.
We got there, yes, but it got a bit stressful.

We went to see a magic show which was great (el mago pop)! However, to me the show was only a part of the experience since the theater itself (oldest on Gran Via) is beautiful. We had out seats on the 2nd floor (Anfiteatro) which is pretty steep, not for the ones with fear of heights :) The theater also has a bar (a bit pricey) which serves snacks -> the drinks and food can be enjoyed at your seat.

We went on Christmas Day afternoon. The location of the circus is at building 1 area of the Madrid Exhibition Centre. It is just right next to the exit of the Metro station.
Before the show there are.many activities for kids and some will let the participant to win gifts (even mobile phone).
The show is about 2 hours with a short break in the middle. Plenty of toilets outside the show tent.
If you purchased the VIP tickets, you will have a special waiting area and free gifts and free popcorn and 1 drink.
The show was very good. You will be in suspense most of the time and the clowns are super funny. Many people bring their toddlers to watch. You can bring your jacket and bags into the show.

Went to see West Side Story in this very beautiful Theatre. The performances were good, and some of the singing (particularly the Actor playing Tony) was excellent. The choreography is average, but the cast danced with enthusiasm and brought alive the story of this enjoyable and timeless classic. A really great nght.
