We hired ebikes from Rent and Roll (in a lane near the entrance) to get around the park to make it super easy for ourselves.

It is the PERFECT way to see the park and drink everything in at your own pace. Stop at anytime and have a picnic anywhere you like. Go to a cafe and just thoroughly enjoy being there and drink in surroundings.

We found two hours was enough for us and we even stopped at a cafe to grab something to eat and listen to some music while we watched the boats on the water

Probably best to go in the summer when there is more to see. It was a LONG walk from one end to the other with small stops along with way with some parks and bridges. A nice afternoon if you got several days in Madrid and want to venture out to another park area besides Retiro Park.

We wanted to hear a concert of classical music in Madrid.

We bought our tickets online and were pleasantly surprised that there were seats not just in front but also on the flanks of the scene, on the balcony. For us, it is exciting to see not just the musicians playing the string instruments but also those playing woodwinds, brass instruments and percussion instruments.

As this was our first visit to this concert hall, a special 'Thank you' to the kind members of the staff who showed us were to go!

We listened to the Orquestra de la Comunidad de Madrid, they played the Overture-Fantasy Romeo and Juliet by Tchaikovsky, Triple Concerto for Horn, Trumpet and Tuba by André Previn and Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky.

The young musicians of this orchestra were exceptional, we were full of superlatives and pleasant emotions!

Excellent park, a huge arrange of animals & aquarium including a fantastic dolphin show; could easily spend all day here.
Unfortunately a lot of the enclosure felt very small and not particularly well suited (lots of concrete!) but they were well maintained and animals clearly cared for.
Was able to get a good view of most of the enclosures.
Description provided in both English & Spanish.
Most of the café were closed (Friday in March) on my visit, but not a problem for myself as I had packed snacks.
    Worth a visit.

My wife and I walked through the Jardines de Sabatini a couple of times each day during our stay at the Apartosuites near the Royal Palace. In order to get to restaurants and bus tours, we had to walk through the gardens going and coming. It is a tranquil area with fountains and a reflection pool.

A nice park! We took a metro there, there is a station called Casa de Campo. It is very big, there is a lot to see. We liked taking pictures with yellow flowers, we found a viewing point, for this we had to hike a little bit up, you have a nice view of the city from far. Going down was a bit tricky but we were brave. And in the end we even found a nice lake (not for swimming, just for the view) with some ice cream places and restaurants. It was a good day! It is not a must when you are in Madrid as it does not offer any unique photo experience however you can go there!

My favourite park in Madrid is Parque Del Oeste ,an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of this vibrant city.
The park itself is beautiful, its the most gorgeous part of the Moncloa neighbourhood, the park began life as the main area for landfill of the city until the then mayor in charge Alberto Aguilera decided to turn this landfill site into a place of peace and relaxation,he called in prominent landscape artist Celedonio Rodriganez who completed the task by 1906 ,nowadays its a great park to wander around, its dotted with monuments and statue's such as the very impressive Monumento A Jose De San Martin and some great water features with fuente Juan De Villanuena being the most famous, the most famous structure in this park is undoubtedly Temple Of Debod ,a stunning and historic building, all in all its a great city park to wander around and well worth checking out if you're planning a holiday to Madrid.

In May the peonies, irises and roses were blooming. Unfortunately the cafe & shop were closed, which was unclear to us before we paid to get in. Impressive cacti. Nice pond with ducks and other birds.

Madrid's Barajas neighborhood is most famous for its colossal airport.

But make no mistake, the area is teeming with cozy places to eat and drink (try Cerveceria al Tran Tran, for example) - and lo and behold, there's also a truly remarkable park here.

The area's locals jog and walk dogs in the park and hardly notice the many fun sculptures, the elevation with the great view, and the ponds with ducks and geese.

If you need some fresh air and a bit of exercise between flights, then Parque Juan Carlos I is definitely worth a visit.

We stopped by because our daughter loves cats, and it was a great experience. This is not a cat cafe, although you get a free drink with your visit; instead, it's a rescue organization. You should make a reservation, since they get a lot of visitors. The cats are well cared for, and you can stay for up to an hour.

This Safari park is an excellent place to visit with kids and give them opportunity to interact with animals. The drive in part of Safari Park is a real entertainment, especially if you have a kilo or more of carrots to feed animals. You can see lions, jirafas, Bengal tigers, zebras, antílopes, camels, bear, goats, wolves, panthers, a lot of different birds, etc. They organize each day the show with birds and you can learn a lot about world fauna. They have also special zone for snakes and other reptiles.

This rose garden was the most attractive part of the whole El Retiro Park for me. We were there when all the roses were in full bloom and it was spellbinding with all those rose odors coming from different angles. There are different types and colors of roses and it's really beautiful here.I can not imagine how the place would be when it's not the season for roses though.

Although the River Manzanares is now more or less a trickle than a river it is home to Parque Lineal Del Manzanares.
This is a great urban park, beautiful well kept flower gardens, wilder park areas ,water features and paths complete with lots of benches to stop, rest and take in the views ,there's two famous bridges along this park area namely Puento De Toledo and Puento De Prago and its a popular park area,we were here in August ,temperatures in the 100 degrees Fahrenheit mark ,we stopped at a bar in the park were we enjoyed beers to cool down with ,all in all its a great park to check out if you're in the area or planning to holiday in Madrid.
