Make sure you read your email from your tour guide in advance!
There was a little confusion in the beginning, as the advertisement that one is "picked up at from the hotel" really means your guide will meet you at your hotel and you will walk to the museum. Or, you can meet your guide at the museum. This was clearly explained in an email, but unfortunately, I didn't check my email until 10 minutes before Jamie was scheduled to arrive. So, Jamie met us in the lobby. Walking from our hotel wasn't really practical, but because of the confusion, Jaime insisted and very generously paid for the cab fare.
We arrived at the museum as it opened and Jaime gave us a wonderful and unforgettable tour. He took us immediately to van der Weden's "Descent from the Cross" because "it gets crowded very quickly", and we had the room to ourselves. Jaime explained the intrinsic characteristics of the painting with such clarity. We got so much more out of it because of what he shared with us.
I'm delighted to say Jaime had so much fascinating information on the masterpieces we visited, I'm still rather moved by the experience as I type this. I can only recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning what interesting discoveries there are behind some beautiful pieces of art. Thank you Jaime!
