I first learned about this store when a relative gave me a couple of books from this store and I ended buying a copy of each as the perfect gifts for friends.
This is a very special shop if you are looking for meaningful and exquisite gifts.

As others have noted, this is a very small shop in the historic & atmospheric "Barrio de las letras" (or Huertas) district.
The handpainted silk scarves are beautiful, true wearable art.

The shop is near the Plaza Santo Domingo just off the Madrid's Gran Via, and keeps traditional hours, closing in the middle of the day.
4th generation shop, sells ceramics made by Spanish artists, and the place is jammed with beautiful items.

... and color you want and convert your size to European footwear sizes!! My other advice: avoid summer travel - FOR GOD SAKE!! or go early in the morning as soon as the shop opens and watch out for siesta closures!
Agree with other reviewers that it’s best to look in the shop windows and take pictures of which espadrilles you want to try... makes it much easier.
