I went there at for a blues jam session at around midnight, and it quickly filled up. Small and intimate, so it can get a little hot inside, but what music venues don't. The service was straight forward. Free sunflower seeds with your drink, and waiters scan the room for when you need a refill.

As a Tour cuide I am always booking por an authentic show and I just found it in Sala Barco. Next to Primark shop.
It is in Madrid centre, reasonable price and excellent show. Very recommended!!

I enjoyed a quick drink when I dropped in whilst passing!
The jazz was not live and was on the 2 or 3 screens in a cozy bar.
The single handed barman was very entertaining - welcoming, seating, making the drinks and collecting also!
    I enjoyed his performances!
I asked for Lagavulin 12, but it was not available - so the barman offered a substitute, which was not as nice!
Nonetheless, I enjoyed a quick drink!

This club offers live music nightly - multiple shows; our experience demonstrated that this club hosts serious musicians - so check its calender.. we saw the highly-regarded American alto-sax playing Kenny Garret as well as a fine Spanish band that played contemporary jazz

We were waiting for a table in a local restaurant so popped in here for a couple of drinks. Very old style jazz bar. No English spoken really but easy enough to order wine and beer. 14 euro for 2 wines and 2 beers. Nice place.

A low key, fun, intimate was to see flamenco. The shows at El Juglar don't try to sell you anything extra--15 Euro gets a glass of wine (beer or soda) and a one hour flamenco show featuring 3 dancers, guitar and vocals. The dancing and rhythms were terrific. I wish I knew more about how to appreciate all the aspects of the performance! Glad we went!
