- Alan AWolverhampton, UK23 contributionsGreat week end, stadium a little tired and seats dirty.
No alcohol sold on site ( no wonder they lost it for next year)Written May 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Tomas FWorld1 contributionPoor festival. Feels more like a club - You have better options in the rest of Spain and Europe.
For the rather pricey cost of the ticket and drink there could be more decoration or effects.
The sound system is OK though.
Vibe and crowd are ok-ish, but I used to go to this festival years ago and lately has lost some of the charm.
Some years lineups are not as much leaning to techno as I would like.
Sonar de dia is too much leaning into indie so not my kind of thing, but I respect it must have its public.
A bothersome thing was that access are separated for guys and girls and quite sepparated, which I have never seen and made us lose timeWritten August 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Brilliant work GG!!

I have visited a lot of festivals (outside of Spain) and this was on my list because of the line up and location on the beach.
However, I was shocked by the poor logistics around the festival:
Entering the festival was a real challenge. You don’t want to mind waiting. Hundreds of people (maybe thousandso) need to show their ticket to just 1 or 2 hosts that will manually check your ticket. Then security, same limited number of staff and then the bonus: 1 man scanning your ticket and 1 man providing you a bracelet and then try to scan it a couple of times. Imagine 100.000 visitors in this inefficient process.
Waiting for drinks is ok. Not sure if this is because of the high prices.
Waiting for food however is a nightmare. Apart of the medium quality there is only 3 caravans with hotdogs and tortilla chips open. Again for 100.000 people.
Didn’t the organizers travel to festivals like in the Netherlands or Belgium to see how you do catering...? Might be a good advice.
You pay an extra 2€ per glass deposit. After 3am there is only one booth open for refund. When you see more than 100 people standing in this line, you skip this and lose your refund. What a cash cow for them.
Again, great line up but poor organization.Written July 30, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Martin Y1 contributionFirstly it was a great experience and I would go again now I know what to expect.
The line up for weekend 1 was enough to entertain me and the festival location and backdrop by the sea was a firstfor me. And being in Barcelona at that time of year means warm nights.
The food was eclectic, good and plenty of outlets. I particularly liked the free coffee stalls. Toilets were plentiful and clean.
As a seasoned festival goer in the UK I was astonished to find only three taps providing drinking water for the whole festival (40k people), surely a health and safety issue. Also there were few maps on site to find you way round for newcomers. The app has the worst map for a festival I've come across. The bars suffered from severe queues - 30 mins for my first beer. I didn't bother after that on the first night. However the situation got better over the next days but it is still unacceptable. The beer selection was limited and not great. It is as if the Primavera organisers did not want people to drink beer as the dispensing was serial and glacial and the mugs small. Last but not least eco credentials could be better - plastic everywhere. Learn from other Festivals who do these well and ask for feedback.
Despite the above I would recommend Primervera to other regular festival goers. I really hope Primervera take action, especially drinking water, on the feedback from festival goers to make it a better experience next time.Written June 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
