We found great results, but some are outside Salamanca. Showing results in neighboring cities.

Ciudad Vieja de Salamanca
#1 of 62 Sights & Landmarks in Salamanca
Salamanca exceeded my expectations with a compact centre, easy to explore on foot and plenty of surprises, either in the form of photogenic corners or spectacular views of the principal religious sites.
Wonderful golden stone cathedral, university and municipal buildings, the historic river bridge and views back to the city, great bars and restaurants.

Ieronimus
#2 of 62 Sights & Landmarks in Salamanca
It's quite a climb, unless you are a mountain goat, but well worth it, taking you to hidden nooks, crannies and balconies around the two cathedrals, before your ultimate reward of fantastic views.
It provides the most stunning view of this magnificent city and a close up of the brilliant steeples of both the old Gothic limestone church and the new one on which it was built.
Plaza Mayor
#3 of 62 Sights & Landmarks in Salamanca
Fabulous atmosphere- we enjoyed light tapas with a view of the plaza and enjoyed the atmosphere, energy, ambience and architecture of the square both nights in Salamanca.
Bustling in the day lots to see & to just sit & take in all the sights sit & people watch an exciting place to visit the old charm has a charm you will want to experience.

St. Stephen's Convent (Convento de San Esteban)
#4 of 62 Sights & Landmarks in Salamanca
This is a short distance from all the other main sites but this was one of our favorites.
Very interesting historical site.

Old Cathedral (Catedral Vieja)
#5 of 62 Sights & Landmarks in Salamanca
It was truly a pleasure to explore the cathedral this way, rather than entering from the ground level and looking around (which I'm sure is also nice, it's a beautiful place, but the view from above is amazing).
It is next to the cathedral and part of that tour gets you inside the upper part of the old cathedral where great views can be seen both of the skyline of Salamanca and the interior of the church.

New Cathedral (Catedral Nueva)
#6 of 62 Sights & Landmarks in Salamanca
You have the opportunity to walk around the battlements and upper balconies of the New Cathedral with wonderful views across the city.
We climbed to the top of the bell tower (there was a small fee for this) and this was easily the highlight of our visit to Salamanca, both for the views of the city and countryside and also for the close-up view o...

Cielo de Salamanca

It is very old and very pleasurable to view this rotunda.
Scala Coeli Torres de la Clerecia
#8 of 62 Sights & Landmarks in Salamanca
I went up the Scala Coeli with my family, and the views were wonderful- we were the only people visiting at the time so it was wonderfully quiet but the views were so stunning.
3.75 EUR is very good value for the opportunity to get a 360 degree panorama of all the major sights in Salamanca and to get your bearings.
Puente Romano
#9 of 62 Sights & Landmarks in Salamanca
But once you get to the other side of the river, you are rewarded with the iconic view of the town, capturing the Roman bridge and the imposing Cathedral in the background!
Wonderful views of the cathedrals from the bridge, lovely beaches to paddle from and possibly an otter swimming below the weir.
Universidad de Salamanca
#10 of 62 Sights & Landmarks in Salamanca
... range is very impressive.Long way from Mr.Google.The chapel's restoration is equally spectacular and need time to linger.Throughout there are impressive artifacts and art decor with quite a wide range to view.
The old library is an amazing site but one can only get inside to see it with special permission or as a visiting scholar.

#16 of 62 Sights & Landmarks in Salamanca
This is a quick stop - view the exterior, read a bit on the history, walk around the the interior courtyard - and be in your way in 10 minutes, with a smile on your face.
This is a beautiful historic building, one of many in Salamanca which is a Unesco World Heritage site.

Clerecia (Iglesia del Espiritu Santo)
#17 of 62 Sights & Landmarks in Salamanca
This beautiful, solemn structure with two symmetrical towers is literally flying over over the golden city of Salamanca - stop by on the way to the Plaza Mayor and climb the Scala Coeli for the views.
