We were wondering what to do and this was so highly rated we thought that we would give it a go.
The ratings that it has been given are correct.
There is plenty to do while you are there, many different shows. There are plenty of places for you to get light snacks, or even main meals.
The animals and birds all look like they are well looked after.
Would recommend to anyone looking for something to do for a whole day out.

Planned to go on the cable car but was cancelled due to "poor weather" (a bit suspicious when we got there though as it was the most sunny and least windy day imaginable!) However it was not a disaster at all as the drive there and scenery were absolutely amazing.

Bottom line.... Don't despair if the cable car isn't running!

Vast national park, so much to explore. The landscape is like being on a different planet.
There’s a museum, cable car, a local bus runs through the day carrying you from one side to another (several km’s). Well worth spending a day or two visiting.

Guinea pig park! More Guinea pigs than monkeys BUT still a great time. We had such a fun time and definitely worth the 10 euros.

A beautiful and quite tropical botanical gardens very close to the apartments we were staying in. We spent an hour or so wandering among the plants, flowers and trees.

Masca valley was incredible!!! Very small village in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. The road to get over and back is one lane. We opted to take the public bus over and it was worth not having to drive the pass! However, we were stuck on the other side for longer than we intended because the busses only took a number of passengers back and did not come frequently enough for the demand.

Great hike. Takes 2,5 to 3 h depending on how much you stop. Good trail. Would not say easy. Starts very dry with cactuses and you walk into the ravine where it is cool and green. Very nice. Start early. Book your ticket in advance. We took a taxi from Los Cristianos - very easy.

Highly informative and interesting. Something of geology, fluid dynamics, zoology, botany, entomology and history all in one trip with some amazing scenery and experiences. Mary our guide was highly articulate and knowledgeable. We have seen a lot of limestone caves before, this was the first lava tube. Would really like to see more of the system particularly level one but understand why this needs to be protected and left to the professionals. Many thanks.

We visited here as our friend was desperate to swim in the sea , but during the rest of the week the wind had been strong and many of the natural pools were closed and the beaches had red flag warnings.
This is a man made beach with lovely white sand , and as it has a breakwater the sea is protected and very calm. The sand goes a long way into the water and you have to walk a fair way to get into the sea , but made it perfect for kids so their were many families there. The facilities are great : a large car park a short walk away, toilets, showers , sunloungers and sun beds all along the beach and a wide selection of cabins offering a large choice of drinks and snacks. Lovely views from the beach inland towards the hills. As it was Feb the water was a bit cold but one of our party did brave a swim

Nice Beach , just to short . at high tide you invade the free space and it feels a bit cram-te. Tide comes in fast compared to beach of los Cristiano's . Not ideal with kid's or bad swimmers

Don’t underestimate that this is a hard walk/hike and we are experienced walkers. It’s a great experience but the walk back up the gorge is brutal, 2:30 hrs to walk down and 3;45 hrs back up. We did the walk in mid March but I couldn’t imagine what it would be like in the summer. Parking is a big issue , most of the parking is restricted to 2 hours , we had the last long stay space at 08:00. It’s all very well organised you are provided with helmets and you are counted in at the star and counted out at the end. There are also “rangers” in the gorge should you have any problems

For me this was the highlight of our week-long stay in Tenerife!
The rock formations are absolutely amazing, it feels like you are walking around a lunar landscape.

There is no fee to do this which makes it all the better and you have amazing views of the Teide peak (in good weather anyway).

For me this is a must do, you won't regret it!

This part of Tenerife is very green and beautiful. The drive through this mountainous area is very attractive and there are numerous places to hike.

We drove through to the village of Chamorga at the end of the road and did a short hike from there. I wish I had known how attractive is was going to be because it would have been good to take one of the longer hikes but it was near the end of the day when we arrived there. Nonetheless, we enjoyed beautiful views on the short, steep hike we took from the village.

Absolutely stunning. We took the bus. Costs us 1 euro and was an experience in itself! Quiet. Main attraction is the sea which I never grow tired of. Next time I will bring a piknick basket and my swimsuit and make it a day.
