This is the beaches of all beaches! It’s like the beaches in Thailand or Caribbean’s in Europe. White sand and turquoise water - just the dolphins and turtles missing.
If in Mallorca you must visit! But be early as the beach is quite small.

Platja de Palma is a very long stretch of beach occupying an entire bay.
The beginning is close to the Cathedral and it continues eastwards over Can Pastilla all the way to resort town of Arenal.
There're many beach facilities from water sports to bars and restaurants. Set of sunbeds and umbrellas are around 15-20 Euros depending where you rent them, but you can put your towel for free wherever you want.

Overall a lovely beach, there are many restaurants and shops nearby. My only problem is that it is so crowded because the beach is so small. Everyone is practically on top of one another, so I would personally think twice if you are with young kids who like to play in the sand. Other than that, the water is beautiful and it is a lovely beach.

Arenal is the far eastern part of the Palma beach which starts close to the Cathedral in the island's capital.
Arenal is a busy resort, very frequented with tourists, mostly German.
The beach itself is very nice, however the back streets are a disaster - very narrow, impossible to park, nothing to see if walking and filled with people mostly drunk.

This beautiful park, S´hort del Rei, is within walking distance of the Cathedral of Palma. No idea how to pronounce it (Catalan name). It is a popular tourist attraction because of the tranquility that the park offers.

The best way to enjoy the Torrent is start out early morning at Escorca, and walk down to the bay - it takes around 5 hours, and there is a bus Mon-Sat at 3pm back to Escorca to pick up your car (or you could take the boat if its running). Some find it easier (or like the challenge) or doing it from bottom to top, but it is very easy to lose the path out uphill at the top end due to long grass tussocks and many goat-tracks.

This is not a stroll - but a challenging scramble at times over the enormous boulders that have fallen into the Torrent. Take a length of rope and it will help at some of the more challenging bits - and go well shod carrying plenty of water. Follow the paint markings and cairns (piles of stones) to make sure you are on the right track.

    It is simply jaw-dropping!

Do not enter the gorge if bad weather is threatened, as you can only get in our out at top or bottom - and the clue of what can happen is in the name (Torrent de Pareis)!

Amazing pebble beach with crystal clear water, millions of fish and lots of jumping spots, but a couple of things to note first…

Firstly, park your car at the small car park at the top of the hill. (Mirador del Colomer). Parking is free and you can get the bus (€2.50pp single) from there to Cala Figuera/ Cala Murta. The road is closed from Platja de Formentor between 10am and 7pm, and although there is a car park there too, it’s very expensive.

Secondly, once off the bus, the walk down to the beach is steep. Very steep. It resembles a dried up stream, and I’d imagine it could be extremely slippy if it has rained prior to your visit. Wear rock shoes, you’ll need them on the beach anyway.

Finally, there are wild goats on the beach. Emphasis on the wild part. They stink, and if you have food with you, get used to the stench because they will steal anything and everything they can eat. On that, take water with you as there is literally nothing there other than the beach.

Don’t let the difficult bits put you off though, this beach is stunning, and with a bit of preparation you’ll have an amazing day out. 👍

We had a very nice time seeing the caves. They were a bit smaller than expected, but we still had a lot of fun exploring. Great service and nice people

Not exactly a park but a vast area below the Cathedral by an artificial lake and spotted with modern sculptures. Local artist Joan Miro has contributed a large ceramic work on a wall in shining blue. The open area restaurants are solely for tourists to have a quick drink or bite as well as the artisans' kiosks selling pricey products.

On a sunny day in mid-December I decided to walk from the village of Deia to Port de Soller, a fantastic Tramuntana hike with great scenery. The first stop coming from attractive Deia (160m asl) was its little cove, about 3km away. It took me a leisurely 45min to get to Cala Deia.

There are several boats, that one sees before reaching the sea, all lined up by the cobblestoned path that goes to the few houses to the left of the cove. At the end one has to cross a small footbridge. I very much enjoyed the scenery early morning, when there all by myself.

The small beach can hardly be called that though, since it consists mainly of big pebbles, with some rocks in the water and cliffs on the side. Not really an ideal place for a swim or a relaxed beach time, but very beautiful to look at, especially in the solitude of a clear winter day with the first sunrays touching the place.

Amazing beach, the prettiest I've seen. The walk there is pretty steep, not for everybody surely, and the beach is narrow so not really for family sunbathing, but the water, the sand, the view of the mountains is just out of this world. It's not widely known so off-season you'd be there alone most likely :)

I had a great time climbing with Pep! He took me to a couple different spots on the island, provided all the gear I needed and set up top ropes for me. I'm not an expert climber but the routes he showed me were perfect for my level (5.7-5.8 in the USA). Spanish lessons were an added bonus :)

Lovely little oasis. Nice peaceful surprise off a road not far from the cathedral. Cool places to sit on a pleasant day.
