We needed to check out a few things in the area we were stopping in. This official tourist information centre had all our questions answered in minutes.
The staff were excellent, 100% recommended.

Very helpful staff, you can take as many leaflets as you can. Lots of posters and info for you in different languages.

Popped in by chance to get information about the area. The lady could not have been more helpful, and her English was excellent. Unfortunately, council changes could mean the death of this tourist office. That would leave a massive hole for tourists' information. So, thank you for being so welcoming, and hope to pop in next time we're in Port Andratx.

We used this a couple of times, staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English! They phoned for a taxi for us (free) to get us back to our hotel.

An old house from a time when it was populated by one of the more wealthier residents of Alcudia. Now sympathetically converted into a town library and exceedingly large – it does provide for the needs of the many. All age groups seems to be catered for – though I didn’t find anything in any language other than Spanish – not a complaint !!
The library has retained some of the house’s original features which are great to see and it doesn’t take much imagination to mentally reconstruct and be impressed by the size, character and quality of the property.
It does have air conditioning and public toilets so at least some of non-Spanish speaking needs are addressed.
Well worth a quick look at least as you pass it by in the town centre.

Woman sat behind the desk in the kiosk completely ignored me. Didn't speak just carried on doing what ever she was doing on her phone.
    Not very tourist orientated.

The Auditorium is the Concert Hall of the Balearic Islands.
It is located on the Passier Maritim in a prominent section of this spectacular location of the island's capital.
Despite of the efforts of the administration to arrange concerts of classical music with the main orchestras in Europe, the building itself offers only a mediocre performance.
Acoustic is not so bad but the system of stairs, that lead to completely different sections of the building, is confusing and -especially for elderly people, who are not so agile - a great challenge whenever they have once entered the wrong staircase (which are not so very well indicated)...
But in general this institution has to be praised for it's permanent effort to bring classical musik and herewith some kind of European culture to this island, that understands itself increasingly as a place to milk brain-pierced german, dutch and british alcoholics by exposing them to braindead idiocy until they are finished.
In this case: bravo for the effort!"
