The building is an art piece inside and out. The collections were very interesting. They have a Rothko and Warhols and some really interesting pop art pieces . My favourite was the huge piece made out of bottle caps. El Anatsui employed people from Nigeria to stick bottle caps together. Also the huge metal works exhibition called ‘ The matter of time ‘ by Richard Serra . Excellent visit worth visiting.

Very touristy but beautiful and worth a wander round. Some nice local shops amongst the souvenirs. The cathedral is an oasis in the heart of it all and the buildings are pretty.

Lovely square in the traditional Spanish plaza mayor architecture. I didn’t go to any restaurants/ bars but it looked very lively in the evening.

The market closes on Mondays, guess which day I went? There is a pintxos food hall (for want of another word) on the first floor which I frequented instead. it is on the same tram line as the Guggenheim (just about) and it was still worth the visit!
