Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar Zaragoza
#1 of 625 Sights & Landmarks in Aragon
A wonderful city to visit with splendid views of this ancient city.At every corner there is some historical site.Easy access too with helpful Tourist Information offices
During my two and a half-day stay in Zaragoza I have explored the city exhaustively and without any doubt the Basilica stands out amongst all the sights that are worth visiting here.

Albarracin Teruel

It is one of the most beautiful villages I have ever seen in Spain. It seems to have come out of a fairy tale. The views from the hill where the castle is found are the best you can enjoy, especially around the sunset.
Fantastically well preserved walled hilltop town, with stunning views, both inside the town as of the surroundings.

Monasterio de Piedra Zaragoza

If you like the mix of old stones and nature, this is the perfect site to visit... with a cute camping next door to sleep over and a beautiful park to hike up and down, we'll be coming back for more...
This natural park with its waterfalls and wonderful views is certainly worth visiting.
Castle Of Loarre

Carlos was personable, has a comfortable van, speaks good English (though we were mostly practicing our Castellano with him), and he has interesting knowledge about Aragon and these sites.
We spent several hours exploring, going up and down stairs and seeing amazing views from the top of the castle.

Many different architectural styles in this cathedral which was built on the site of of the old Roman forum.

Perfect place to take a stroll, visit the cathedral, sit down and relax, enjoy the view and even grab a drink on the many cafes on the side.
It's got cheap cafés around the side where you can sit, eat ice cream, drink a beer and enjoy the sheer beauty of all the amazing sights.

I have been many times but every time I learn something new about the history or the building They soon open a parador and then will be a busy place I think because it’s very well preserved and the views of Moncay...
Plaza Mayor Ainsa

Wandering through the castle ruins and climbing on the walls gives a lovely view of the plaza and surrounding mountains.
... and nic nac sellers but at the same time people still live in those old walls and if you visit during the low season times even the tourist sites dont bother too much ...a very interesting walking experience

Route 1- from Monastery to Ermita de San Salvador - Aprox time 1.00 hour climb- mid level of difficulty - stunning views and great for ornithology lovers.
Historic site of old monastery under a cliff overhang, worth driving a mountain road.

Palacio de la Aljaferia Zaragoza
#16 of 625 Sights & Landmarks in Aragon
Another of Zaragoza’s architectural treasures, this unique fortified castle-Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage site and an outstanding example of Mudejar architecture in Northern Spain.
Travel sites don’t seem to lavish much praise on this palace, even though it is one of Spain's three greatest Moorish palaces (along with Córdoba's Mezquita and Granada's Alhambra).

Torre Mudejar de El Salvador Teruel
#18 of 625 Sights & Landmarks in Aragon
Interesting Moorish-style watchtower inside which there is a small museum and (easy) stairs to the top of the tower which gives great views across the rooftops of Teruel.
The view from the top was beautiful too as you can see all of Teruel.
Murallas de Albarracin Albarracin
#19 of 625 Sights & Landmarks in Aragon
But definitely if you're able to make the effort to climb above the town to see Albarracin's walls and take in the views from above, you'll be happy you did!
It is a good climb to get up to the walls but once there the view is impressive.
Torre Del Pilar Zaragoza

... level to my husband ... the photographs that he produced were wonderful perspectives of the beautiful tiled domes of the cathedral; the rooftops of the city; views over the River Ebro and off towards the plains.
The glass fronted lift takes you up one of the towers of the Basilica del Pilar, after which you can climb the stairs for an even better view of the river, old bridge and city.
Iglesia de San Esteban Sos del Rey Catolico

Lovely and cool and the views from the church and castle above are vast and spectacular.
We were too late to go inside but the walk up there and the views were stunning.

I also walked up to a shrine (La Ermita de Nazaret) just below the castle to get some nice views over the town.
