A few minutes more walk from the cathedral et al is this great semi-circular edifice. There are ceramic tile decorations on virtually every crevice and the boating !ake adds a bit of variety. There also seems to often be a free flamenco show though tips are welcome and deserved IMHO
Continue walking away from cathedral and there is a lovely park with ponds and a museum showing local crafts

This was a very pleasant surprise being a stunning architectural and garden treat.
The pa!ace has fabulous courtyards, rooms, ceilings in ornate Ottoman style but then some subtle changes as Christian influence begins. Ceramic tiles everywhere, with wonderful shapes in arches and doorways. We have been to Alhambra and from what I remember ( which is not necessarily a strong point) it was not as good.
The Alcazar gardens were bigger than expected and tranquil, beautiful and with interest - especially the peacocks displaying!
There's much to see so we took a cafeteria break which was not outrageous in cost (considering their monopoly) and nice enough sitting outside overlooking the gardens.
Maybe a guided tour adds a lot but for us the included audio guide (download to phone) is adequate

Beautiful place to visit, amazing tile work around the various patios and courtyards, lovely gardens. Definitely worth a visit along with the Real Alcazar, and the local barrios around Casa de Pilatos are really interesting to walk through as well with narrow streets and beautiful architecture. We walked directly from Casa de Pilatos to the Setas de Seville, so you can do both in one trip/walk. We were unclear about the advertised "free Mondays" at Casa de Pilatos which turns out is only available to EU citizens, so don't go on a Monday if you don't have EU credentials. The place was packed with people looking for free entry, and many people were turned away for not having EU credentials, including ourselves. This restriction is poorly advertised by both the facility and local social media influencers, so beware. Otherwise, it seems you can get into this place most days without an advance reservation, although you may need a timed reservation to see the "by tour" second floor. Although I did not interact with many staff at this facility on the Wednesday we returned for a visit, one woman who was working in the gift shop on November 13 at 13:08 was particularly rude and could not be bothered to crack a smile, say gracias/de nada, or actually say anything at all. It's pretty bad when you are patronizing a foundation by purchasing products, and the cashier acts like she's doing you a favor. Everyone I met in Spain was so nice, so this one rude person really stands out from the whole trip. I hope the facility will consider giving her some training in customer service.

You can't condone this cruelty in the 21 st century, so was our visit fuelling its continuance? Probably but you do get to understand the historical and cultural context a bit more.
Our tickets were just 6 Euro each (old fa*ts) which for museum and bull ring and audio guide was good.
One odd/ funny exhibit were 8 realistic human heads hanging near entrance to museum. With killed real bull's heads mounted nearby it made you wonder.... Turned out to be a game to practice use of lances like in old jousting contests !

Uncrowded in february. Objects seemed randomly placed in rooms. All of interest but not a curated museum. Lovely courtyard and a small insight as to how spanish aristocracy lived - or is this case still does live on the top floor

One of the most beautiful palaces in Sevilla. The upper floor can be visite only by means of a guided tour in Spanish or English. I took the tour in English and our guide Lucia was incredibly good, making our visit even more interesting thanks to the info she gave the whole group.
Only downside is the no-photo policy on the upper floor, which does not make any sense in this time and age.
Not to be missed if you're in town.

The building was a cigarette factory some time ago, now houses the University of Seville. The building is interesting and can be easily seen from the outside, the entrance is only for students (according to the signs)

My twin brother and I were exploring around the wonderful Casco Antiguo De Sevilla ( Ancient District Of Seville ) when we chanced upon Real Parroquia De Santa Maria Magdalena De Sevilla.
This is a beautiful church constructed between 1691-1709 and built from designs from architect Leonard De Figueros ,originally built for a Dominican order ,its such a beautiful church to view and most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Calle San Pablo.

This a small but very beautiful and richly decorated church. On the exit you can step on the grave "The worst man G-d ever created" (Don Miguel Mañara who could be a prototype of famous Don Juan).
Make sure to find church opening hours since it is closed in the middle of the day. Allow less than 1 hour.

This important and imposing building is located in the heart of the city, not far from the Cathedral. We walked there on our first day. It has a simple neoclassical façade overlooking Nueva Square, where the equestrian statue of King Ferdinand stands. I think the most beautiful part of the building is the façade facing the other square (Plaza de La Falange Espanola). It is worth seeing even if you can only manage to see it from the outside, as it is closed.

Walking down Calle Alfonso XII I came across Iglesia De San Antonio Abad ( Silencio ) and what a great find.
A beautiful church, home to the Brotherhood Of The Holy Silence which was founded in 1340 making it the oldest brotherhood in Seville ,the church is actually two churches that have been incorporated, Hospital Church Of San Antonio Abad and Chapel Of Jesus Nazareno, constructed in the 18th century its a beautiful church to view ,very photogenic, if you're walking down Calle Alfalfa XII it's a church well worth a few minutes of your time.

There are remnants of the old city walls in various places, I stumbled upon them at Plaza del Cabildo (N.B. this is not the main area of fortifications).

This chapel is worth stopping into if you like beautiful intricate carving in the Sevillan style, or if you are a devout Catholic. When I was there all the others in the room seemed to be there for religious reasons, and it's easy to see why. The intimate space and powerful art could easily evoke strong religious feelings.
I have read that the chapel is now open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I had no trouble finding and entering it. It is on the south side of the Plaza Nueva, near the east end of the Plaza, just south of the tram stop. It is clearly marked with a sign outside the door. The only source of confusion might be that the Tripadvisor map puts it in two places, on north and south side of the Plaza. The south side location is the correct one.
