- Dimitris LSydney, Australia53,321 contributionsJardines de la Buhaira looked more like a park rather than Gardens when we visited, but it may have had to do with the time we did. It is a fairly large area and has some interesting trees and plants. There are some fountains and seats for people to sit, but the grass is just as good too. The gardens was part of an old palace dating to the Moorish period. Worth a visit if you happen to be nearby.Written April 20, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Sculptured by sculptor Manuel Delgado Brackembury for the Ibero American Expo of 1929 this fountain looks amazing, the sculptures around the base are so lovely, beautifully detailed depicting lots of children and six turtles, the lady atop the fountain is that of Hispalis ( Hispalis was the Roan ame for Seville ) and is a representation of Seville, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Puerta De Jerez.Written August 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It looks beautiful from a distance, but if you manage to get close to it, then, you are very lucky. It is located in the middle of a very busy intersection. It was built in 1929 and its major feature is the fact it has four sculpted figures around the centre part of the structure, with each figure representing the four seasons of the year! Quite clever. At night it lights up and it gains a new sort of life. It's great to see.Written April 24, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Catalina was born in 1447 as the second daughter of a Count. In later life she married her widower brother-in-law and one of their undertakings was the purchase of the splendid Palacio de las Dueñas.
After she was widowed she founded a hospital for the poor, now repurposed as the Andalusian Parliament.
It’s a fabulous monument in Baroque styling. Catalina is in the centre portrayed in beautiful coloured tiles. On either side are grand paintings of female figures, facing towards each other and to Catalina.Written April 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A very modern green fountain it relies for power fully on photovoltaic conversion from sunlight.
So when this is plentiful its fountain form is activated. At night or at low sunlight times it is quiescent and it transforms to just a sculpture.
It was inaugurated in 2010 with ceremony.Written April 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
