- rosco2London, UK388 contributionsBy chance! Was looking for the castle that houses the Inquisition museum and saw the market. Follow your nose…
Filled with a myriad of food stalls, for locals not the tourist trade. We bought jamon following a discussion regarding differences in pricing and what and why. Like my mother taught me, shoulder of anything is considered a superior taste to leg of anything. It’s all in the composition and fat. We bought the shoulder…
The biscuits my sister in law requested was shown me by another stall holder who left his stall to show me. We had a snack (tasty) then olive /anchovy tapas with a cerveza. The castle foundations can be seen at one end of the market. Excellent unexpected find, great fun and locals all happy to help tourists. Thank you.
The museum however turned out to be closed for renovation.Written October 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Obviously a little more expensive than the mass produced ones you find at tourist stalls but these are hand painted, four generations of family, trying to keep their art alive. Bought two lovely pieces.Written December 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

We didn't find anything of use to buy, but it was a pleasant enough experience and slightly off the beaten track for tourists.Written October 6, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Many shops selling things people need, especially locals, for whom it is designed. Anyone can go inside and get whatever. Nothing special about the place.Written April 19, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Miguel REdinburgh, UK8 contributionsGot here by pure chance and it certainly was a great surprise. Very good location, in a small street just off the popular area of La Alameda.
Couldn't stay too long but the general impression was fantastic. The people in charge are really nice...young and easygoing...very knowledgeable tho. No trace of that snobbish atmosphere of the traditional art gallery concept that is so common, but rather something more alternative and interdisciplinary.
Qualitywise is very high too. International artists. Exhibitions, photography, workshops...Awesome non stop schedule with all kind of events.
Will come back for sure. Highly recommended.Written October 26, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
