- Thomas VOakland, CA19,421 contributionsIf you are in town and want to go to the beach, this one is recommended because it is easy to get to, close to the center. A good place to experience the sea without going too far from the city action.Written January 27, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Off their PManchester, UK4,049 contributionsWe wanted a resort very close to the airport and this place fitted the bill. Only about 3 miles away but still around €20 in a taxi!
It isn’t the biggest of the most beautiful beach but it certainly serves a purpose.
You can rent sun loungers if you want but most of the locals just take a towel and an umbrella and that’s enough for them. There aren’t many shops nearby but a couple of small kiosks sell drinks, basic food and reading material.
There are also a couple of restaurants on the beach which aren’t great. We used both but the one furthest to the left was the better of the two.Written September 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of places to sit having a drink or a meal overlooking the sun, sand and sea.Written December 22, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Solodam JAmsterdam, The Netherlands34,768 contributionsThis was the first stop we made during our trip in Andalusia. The location is a bit far from the city centre. There is no people walking on the beach but everybody was walking or jogging on the boulevard. You can find restaurants at this area. The parakeet were busy collecting twigs for building their nest. There is also an old chimney on the beach.Written December 17, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AmandaosaraHabo, Sweden2,226 contributionsCity-beach in Malaga, I would say a little bit boring and not so nice sand. Not so many beachbars and the sunbeds were ridiculously pricy.Written March 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JonDecin, Czech Republic25 contributionsGreat place for summer swimming in the sea, enjoying sun and mainly PLANESPOTTING, not many people here and very peaceful place to relax when on vacationWritten February 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheCount69Rochdale, UK875 contributionsVery good beach that was mainly used by the Malaga locals which to be honest it suited us perfect and was better than a normal tourist filled beach. There are a few cafes to choose from on the beachfront, but cross the busy main road and there are plenty of cheap bars, cafes and restaurants that were used again by the locals.
The sea seemed very safe to swim in, but it does wash up a lot of shingle when in it.
Didn't get hassled to buy things whilst on the beach.
There were no sunbeds but not sure that was because of Covid or out of season or just the fact it was mainly used by the Malaga residents.
Either way, a very good beach and quieter than the Malagueta beachWritten October 10, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
