No elevators here, you walk up many flights of stairs to get to the top. The view is quite beautiful, but not sure if I would have done it had I known you could get a similar view at the cathedral, which includes more than just a tower. Did not pay for camera obscura.

We sat at a cafe opposite this very impressive Cathedral and just enjoyed the plaza vibe, very busy place with impressive musicians to enhance the experience

A must see if you're in Cádiz. Bustling market with fruit and vegetables, fish and meat inside, with many places to eat and drink on the periphery. Outside there are more stores selling a variety of items, from flea market type stuff to clothes, more food stalls, jewelry and bags. We stayed just around the corner from here, and it was interesting to see how, whilst it was always busy, it really came to life on Saturday. People were moving between the tapas bars, sampling the excellent food and wine and sherry. Great atmosphere.

Despite a rather shaky introductory video which introduces the ancient history of Cádiz through the supposed investigation of the body found on this site, this is a very enjoyable visit. The site is underneath the modern puppet theatre and although entrance is free, visits are timed and as numbers are limited, you need to get your ticket in advance. At the designated time you go down stairs and view the video. You then wander the site and will see remains of Phoenician houses and streets as well as one of the ubiquitous Roman fish sauce factories which are frequent in this part of the Roman world due to the availability of ample supplies of red tuna.

we visited Cadiz for one day off a cruise ship. we walked from the ship to Torre Tavira then to the beach. we walked along to the end and got changed under our poncho towels. we wanted to snorkel but the visibility was very poor. water was still a bit chilly. entry was very rocky, could have done with water shoes. thankfull for the free showers at both ends of the beach.

I mean, it's a bridge? A very nice bridge indeed, and I gather it makes visiting Cadiz a lot easier by car, but all you do is drive over it.

The free museum draws heavily on the archaeology of the area with displays of Roman and Phoenician remains, including two spectacular Phoenician coffins. Upstairs there are rooms of art with works by Murillo and Zurbaran and with modern art on the second floor. Allow an hour for the visit.

It's a photo opportunity, to show an example of the splendid Spanish architecture! As is what surrounds it.

We were in the city for a day on a cruise and this section of our overall walk was a delight. On one side you have the sea wall and views out over the bay and on the other are the old buildings and areas of trees to provide shade and peace.

Bars, taverns, restaurants, streets, statues and squares in an exciting and beautiful barrio of the historic quarter. Our apartment was here so we got to enjoy the area, never a dull moment. Part of the wonder that is Cadiz.
