What travelers are saying
- ReservarldenLondon, UK1,643 contributionsLocated in the heart of Bonn this museum is a delight and it’s free. It also has a reasonably large book/gift shop at very fair prices. The museum itself is free of charge and you’ll probably need at least and hour to get dictate yourself about Germany’s recent past from 1945 until the mid 2020s. Well worth popping in!Written September 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- niruDurbsDurban, South Africa338 contributionsA must visit for all music lovers. Entrance fee is about twelve euros per person. One could comfortably visit the museum in two hours. Transport in whichever form is very safe and reliable. One could download the app to listen to info on items based there. A souvenir shop is available across the road from the museum.Written April 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Merete C2 contributionsLovely place for looking at lots of interesting plants, for a walk, or lunch on a bench. It’s a research facility but also popular with the public and the local birdsWritten September 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Buggy KoopCanada5 contributionsI spend a lot of time in Bonn a lot and this is one of my favourite places to go! I never get tired of it! There’s always so much to do even when there’s no events on. It’s a great place for runs, walks, a picnic, cycling, kick around a football, and so much more! Since it’s so big it never feels busy - even when the flohmarkt (flea market) happening during the warmer months. There’s also beautiful ponds and it’s a great place to walk along the Rhine!Written August 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Definitely worth the visit. There is a photography exhibition on at the moment too, unbelievable photos. - Sandy WPhoenix, AZ491 contributionsBeautiful cathedral - still lots of scaffolding around, but we did manage to go inside for a quick look. The architecture is just amazing. - Harrison F. CarterAuckland, New Zealand12,826 contributionsNice old market square and a grand old building... still operating as a market, but excluded from the Christmas market celebrations.Written January 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karla PIstanbul, Türkiye18 contributionsWe live in Bonn, Germany and visit this area of town each year during the cherry blossom season. The blossoms come and go quickly, so scheduling a walk-through along this street and nearby paths during the month of April is a must. It is gorgeous and quite the photo opportunity! The streets become fully pedestrian (except for the residents who are allowed to park there) during these few days/weeks, making for a leisurely stroll.Written January 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Harrison F. CarterAuckland, New Zealand12,826 contributionsNice Christmas market that stretches across several sections of the city centre, and worth wandering through each. Visited during and the day and at night, with the night obviously being more atmospheric.Written January 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NonDScriptSingapore59 contributionsIf you like Mathematics, do visit this. You can easily spend a couple of hours here learning about mathematical equipment and their history. - GoGo2SlowGoDenton, TX1,463 contributionsThis statue of Beethoven is quite prominent in the main square called the Munsterplatz. The statue was created to commemorate the 75th birthday anniversary of Beethoven in 1845. Beethoven died in 1827 but was born in 1770. What is amazing about this square is that world leaders came to the inauguration ceremony. This included Queen Victoria of England and the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm IV. Considering that Beethoven had been dead for 18 years, the ceremony gives you the knowledge that he was certainly not forgotten.Written March 21, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
