Many other reviews highlight the architecture, the views, the city models. Don't miss the amazingly beautiful mosaics, a testament to hand crafts of all kinds from a famous mosaic creator in Munich, early 20th C. A real joy! "A trade in hand finds gold in every land."

Walking or running along Machsee is really relaxing. During summer it is always crowded. Best time is late spring and early autumn.

This zoo offers an exciting experience to the whole family. Coming here one can book on line or get the ticket by the door. The zoo is so big and magical you feel like you have been trough many countries when you are done because of the creative settings in the zoo plus one can interact with non dangerous animals. Will go again next year!!

I haven't had chance to visit the bigger garden yet (Herrenhauser garten). This place is really good if you have less time to explore. They have a lot of tropical plants and trees. Don't miss the cactus garden.

教堂保留了二战时被炸毁后的原貌,植物生长在墙上,使它拥有历史底蕴和勃勃生机的结合。站在其中的感受是十分独特的。The church has been preserved as it was after the bombing of the Second World War, with plants growing on the walls, giving it a combination of historical heritage and vibrancy. The feeling of standing in it is very unique.

This structure gives you some idea of how the city looked before allied bombing smashed most of it to the ground. The restaurant gives you some idea of the internal decor and plan of the building and we had an excellent buffet there.

It was nice, I just wish that I would have known upfront that the basement was closed. I would also suggest creating more sitting areas for the disabled/old/pregnant/tired people amongst us.

The Marktkirche (Market Church) dates back to the 14th century and was built in Gothic Brick Style.
The original church was destroyed during the WWII and rebuilt during the early 50’s of the 20th century.
Also the interior is completely in brickwork, the main altar is awesome.
Admission is free, although a (small) donation will aways be appreciated.

We visited as part of a WW2 Bomber Command tour of Europe. We stopped here at the museum which is packed with artifacts and information. Items are displayed well with excellent explanations. The museum covers through the early years of flight and the development of aircraft and WW2.

Clearly a labour of love. An excellent visit and recommended, located on the outskirts of Hannover.

The Zoo was a lovely place to spend the day. Lots of animals in large natural looking enclosures. Children are very well catered for with activities and things to play on all through the walkways from place to place.
