The Schnoor Area of Bremen is a must when visiting. I loved walking the narrow streets and taking photos. There are a ton of shops, cafes, and restaurants here as well. Pay attention to the beautiful homes that line the streets here. Beautiful area and is a must!

Bremen has a lot of cool places to explore within the city, I personally loved the Altstadt. It has the cathedral, rathaus, and other spectacular buildings. There seems to always be something going on here from fests to farmers markets. Plenty of good places to eat and drink around here as well. Highly recommended.

The Marktplatz in Bremen is a happening place. The time I visited, there was a festival going on. It was full of rides, drinks, and delicious food. Unfortunately, the festivals are in all photos of the Rathaus but I guess it adds character to the photos. The town square is beautiful though with the Rathaus and Cathedral.

Well, not much to say. Standing on the central Market square you cannot miss this, for sure, most beautiful building in all of Bremen - no wonder it's under UNESCO.
Ornate Gothic architecture with Town Musicians sculpture aside and the Ratskeller - perfect.

If visiting Bremen, you cannot visit without seeing the Town Musicians of Bremen. It's located by the Rathaus and will usually have a line by it of people wanting to take their photos with it. This truly is an iconic symbol of Bremen. Before going, read the fairy tale, it's a fun read.

We did the mini golf and later had Coffee and cake in the restaurant on the opposite side. We enjoyed all of it greatly.

We had planned to spend a couple of hours here, expecting that our children (4 and 6) would be getting restless, but we were still there at closing time, seven hours later, and practically had to drag them through the doors as the staff were locking up. Everything is hands-on and utterly fascinating. Can’t recommend highly enough. All signage in German and English.

From the main Marktplatz, opposite direction from the Town Hall walk southwards where you'll see an arched gateway with a golden plaque above it. That's the beginning of the old merchant street Bottcherstrasse.
At a first glance the street looks like many others in downtown, made entirely of red bricks. It is very narrow, so look up to admire the architecture of these buildings. At the ground level there are many bars, restaurants and a terrific candy shop.

If visiting Bremen, you have to see the Rathaus and St. Peter's Cathedral. Thankfully, they are located in the same beautiful square. The cathedral towers above everything and is a spectacular site to see. I do find the exterior to be more impressive then the interior but I do recommend going inside. A Must if visiting Bremen.

The Schlachte is a popular place in Bremen. The river is nice and there are restaurants that line the Schlachte. This is also a famous place to come to for its nights life as there are great restaurants and bars here. During the day, you can see some of the neat ships docked here. It can be pretty busy here with pedestrians and cyclists.

The actors dress up and tel you about the history of Bremen. This is a really nice thing to do but when I went I was told it was only in German.

We finished our wanderings through Bremen earlier than expected and stopped into the Ubersee Museum primarily due to its proximity to the train station. I didn't really know what to expect, but we ended up spending 90 minutes and wishing for more time.

We spent an hour in the Asia exhibit area. There is little English language info, but we are familiar with the cultures, so enjoyed the displays. We had a quick pass through the America's exhibit where there is more English available. I wish I had more time to enjoy these exhibits. I must say that the depiction of a USA Thanksgiving table did look like "home"!

The museum seemed arranged as a good intro for children. I would have enjoyed taking kids here, but certainly enjoyed it as an adult!

This is an extraordinary relic of the war in every respect. The history is well handled in a small but well thought out exhibition area with a really good interactive display and there are excellent information panels in Englush and German. It's not often you can see the actual holes in a massive bunker roof and the partial nose cone of a Grand Slam bomb that did the damage. Just lying there.
Tip: the entrance when we went was NOT where all the smart signs indicated, it was at the far end of the little parking lot through the long side of the bunker
