Tours of the Reichstag run regularly through the day in several languages. You can book on line or at the ticket booth near the entrance. You don't need to arrive too early but I would allow plenty of time to find the entrance given the construction work around the building. We had an excellent tour led by Barbara. She showed us around the building and explained the work of the parliament and its members. The highlights were the visit to the parliament chamber and walking up to the top of the dome from where you get excellent views right across the city.

Brandenburg Gate is a hub of activity and tourist central; gate has significant place in the history of berlin and Germany making it a must-see place.

Great to see at night and day with the contrast, also late at night you get nice photos with gate lit up and only a handful of tourists.

close by parks and restaurant's so lots of other things to do.

This is a must-see. Without a lot of drama or moralizing, this exhibit quietly details Germany's gradual descent into Nazism. It illustrates how apparently decent family men and women and a gradual accumulation of often innocent-sounding laws all combined to create one of history's most horrific campaigns. You can go through this rather quickly and just focus on a few of the exhibits, or you could spend a day here. Displays like pictures of Mengele, Hoess and other Auschwitz officers relaxing and joking on a cigarette break, the month-by month list of laws passed, and the meticulous records of categories of prisoners and their disposition, give an immediacy and reality to something that most of us only have experienced as words on a page. This also shows how well Germany as a nation has owned and acknowledged its past. They take school children here. The US could learn a lot from their approach.

    Oh my, so moving.
This the fact that the structures have nothing on them, means you can reflect on them in your own way, the vastness of this memorial will blow you away. It’s just mind blowing, and sad.

Unlike other sites in Berlin, the audio guide here is not as straight forward. For a thorough visit, one needs around 3 hours. One also needs to differentiate between two things: one part of memorial is in a building which is time-sensitive, the other part is in open air, and probably not time-sensitive. Consider this when planning your visit. A good view of part of the memorial can be seen from the building's viewpoint. Entry to this building is free.

Falling in Love is the show at this venue that is playing until July 2024 - and it is absolutely crazy in a so-bad-it’s-good kind of way! The story is nonsense, the songs are silly, the outfits are gorgeous. There is some really unexpected talents to be seen, like trampolining and a unique balancing act. If you enjoy the camp nonsense that is often in Eurovision I think you will really enjoy it, if that kind of thing isn’t for you avoid it at all costs.

As for the venue itself it is very grand, and I appreciate that it is relatively affordable. I booked a cheap seat on a weekday and paid €30 and can’t complain at all, I could see the whole stage and wasn’t at all uncomfortable. I’m sure the stall seats are great tho so just pay what you can afford. The seats are comfortable to me as a plus size person and I wouldn’t have any hesitation about coming back in the future.

Also I have to commend the staff - I had a problem with my ticket and they gave some helpful advice (in English) over the phone.

We visited ESG as part of an Insight Vacations 'Northern Capitals' tour. Some of the artwork is amazing! I found it a little disappointing. There is not much around that area, and it was quite busy - making it difficult to take pics.
Personally, I would see the 'Topographie des Terrors' site - with sections of the wall, detailing the design, extent, stories etc. It is very chilling but extremely sobering. I found it much more impactful.

We booked online on the day so paid 24 Euro each. If you book a week in advance it's only 16 Euro. We arrived before 11.30 and left after 6 as there is so much to see, although we do tend to look at everything. It is a super zoo with almost everything translated into English. Food and drink expensive so bring your own. It was better later in the day as the crowds had gone by about 4pm.

Big open green space next to Brandenburg Gate, lots of nice walking path, lawn area, monuments and history to the park.

Having visited Tiergarten in summer and winter, it's a park that can be enjoyed all year round, I always make sure I visit this park whenever I'm in Berlin.

I would say this is a museum that brings most people of the art community together: the variety of the objects in combination with the building is simply lovely.

We had a walk around after paying our €2 enterance fee, and settled at one of the bars for drinks before getting a vegan sausage, cabbage, dumplings and sauce bowl (so tasty!) and a bratwurst! Fun spot to people watch, enjoy some traditional live music, and soak in the atmosphere.
