Looked out my hotel window, and saw what looked like a library. Looked up "beautiful libraries in Berlin" and realized this was the Grimm Brothers' Library. Went in, and it was beautiful. If you are into libraries, stop by!

If you are visiting this part of the city, please have a look inside. You can have a glimpse of it at the entrance, but if you want to see more, you have to be a student or a researcher. Easy access in that regard. Up the stairs, you have an impressing view over the building, the ceiling and the desks where you study. Very helpful staff.

Another designated venue for the Berlin Biennale -- the renovated building is a cool and well-designed space for exhibiting art of any genre, The 2016 Berlin Biennale exhibits here aren't quite as exciting though.

we were surprised by this unassuming building containing such a good collection. The descriptions in English were excellent and the range of paintings were fabulous. Another example of a quiet art museum that would be flooded with people if in London or Paris. Also had an amazing photography exhibition by Mario Testino, that is a must see

When paying for lunch at the cafe next door, a poster for a photography exhibit at the Amerika Haus caught my eye. While that exhibit is no longer there, I thought the Amerika Haus was a great, artistic "find" just a few blocks down from the Berlin Zoo.

My twin brother and I were heading to the world famous Christmas market held in the grounds of Charlottenburg Palace and passed this great looking building and I must say I was totally impressed with it.
Heinrich Schultz Bibliothek was constructed by 1898 ,a wonderful piece of architecture, I viewed this building at night, it looked amazing shining out in the darkness, the most distinctive feature of the building is the magnificent clock tower ,its such a photogenic building, one most definitely well worth seeking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Otto Suhr Allee.

My twin brother and I were walking down Unter Den Linden towards the wonderful Christmas market held in Humboldt Forum and passed Berlin State Library, one of the most imposing buildings in Berlin.
The Library was established in 1661 and is one of the largest libraries in Europe, the building itself is amazing to view,a classic example of Neoclassical architecture, its a building to most definitely check out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Unter Den Linden.
