A lovely walk in nature for the walking, running, swimming lovers and for those who are not afraid to reach the points a little distance from the center. In the villa suburb of Berlin (Steglitz-Zehlendorf district in the southwest of the city) lies a charming lake and around a 6 km circular path. There is also a cafe and restaurant. Walking around the lake is like walking in a scenic postcard. The swans in the water and the tranquility worth the trip. You can have a swim in the summer and you will find quite a few locals stripping their clothes, hanging them on a tree and swimming in the cool water. The lake is easy reachable by the S-Bahn metro. Just get out of the station named after the lake - Schlachtensee, get down to the lake, try to remember where you got off so you will know where to get back and start walking around the lake. You can have a cup of coffe, beer or a meal at the on-site restaurant. Have a relaxing and wonderful time!
